The foot was concerning but hasn't been an issue since. Seems like a lot of guys have recurring issues with feet. The arm/wrist I'm not too concerned about. Just a freak hit. Take a hit from a helmet just right and bone is gonna snap. Just no way around that.

We're Panthers fans who have been watching the Tepper era. The worst case scenario here is for Tepper to think he's having his breakthrough here and that he has it all figured out and it's all starting to click. In terms of the Panthers future this is very much a danger zone. Mental health? Nah, I stopped being emotionally invested in this team quite awhile ago. If you're still emotionally invested in this team you probably do have mental health issues. If we were running a modern NFL offense Darnold probably would be turning it over in droves. There's a reason why they're hellbent on keeping him under 25 attempts per game and basically just throwing the ball enough to keep the D honest so they can run the ball.
-
He's a 5th year QB with 50+ starts under his belt and we're running the type of passing offense you'd expect out of a team breaking in a rookie in his 3rd ever NFL game.
-
43 runs vs. 22 pass attempts.
-
That's the impact of the training wheels. We aren't putting him in situations where he's being asked to carry the offense or make elaborate reads. Our passing game is super basic right now. It will only work when paired with a dominant running game.
-
We are completely de-emphasizing the pass game. Darnold is throwing the ball less than 25 times per game in the post-Rhule era. We're running a 1970s offense. Most of the passes that we do make are behind or near the LOS with a few longer shots sprinkled in. You can't beat playoff teams with this type of offense.

A winning franchise.

He's a 5th year QB who still requires training wheels to make an offense work. If you want to call that developing, go for it. I mean, I guess it is. He's developing into a career backup. Because this is how you want a backup QB to operate.
-
No. He's running an offense that basically heavily de-emphasizes the QB position. 43 runs vs. 22 passes. Darnold has thrown less than 25 pass attempts in each of his starts in the post-Rhule era. He's doing a good job managing the game with what he's asked to do but the game plan revolves around asking him to do little.

Anyone healthy and worth a damn is on a roster.

I would not want Quez Watkins on my roster. The Eagles have thrown two INTs and both of them was just Watkins getting out-physicalled and just having the ball straight up taken from him.

This Eagles/Cowboys game is phenomenal.

If S.D is the backup, who the hell starts?
LinvilleGorge replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
No draft or roster decisions need to be impacted by Matt Corral. He looked completely terrible. If he develops into anything, awesome. If not, oh well. But we have to plan for "if not". -
Then I flip back to Eagles/Cowboys just in time to see an absolute beast mode catch by Goedert. I miss having good tight ends.

George Kittle is a fuging monster.

Draft a QB. If we can re-sign Darnold cheaply as a bridge then do that. But the answer is not on the roster and we've been trying to find a bargain vet for years with predictable results. -
Yes, I saw the play. He didn't intentionally hit Horn's arm. Horn's arm was just unfortunately there. This stuff happens all the time. Hell, I think it was how TD broke his arm. I think it was Luke that hit him.

I like this TE draft. There's 5 or 6 guys who have a chance to be legit starters IMO. -

He's trash but there's minimal cap savings cutting him this off-season. He's probably gonna be here unless we designate him a post-June 1 cut. -
Until that ball or the ball carrier hits the ground you can't assume anything.

Why are people trying to blame Chinn? This is tackle football. poo happens. It's like someone getting rolled up on. It's not anyone's fault, it's just people trying to make plays and sometimes injuries are just gonna happen. Unfortunately it's just part of the game.

Hopefully Horn didn't break his wrist there on that inadvertent hot from a teammate. -
