  1. Demonstrably false. We were #21 in the NFL in yards per game and #24 in points per game. We were #18 in both yards allowed and points allowed. The offense was worse than the defense that year.
  2. I have two entirely differing opinions on Teddy. One, Teddy sucks. Two, Teddy is a decent game manager. One is the result of dumping our former MVP QB to name Teddy our newly anointed starter. But seriously, Teddy is an extremely underwhelming starter. Two is Teddy as a backup QB. He's pretty much exactly what you want in a veteran backup. He's going to go out there, make the safe plays and not do anything to cost you the game. He's going to allow your team to win the games it should but he won't win you any that you shouldn't.
  3. Oh wow. Teddy with a legit deep ball. Yeah, it was underthrown but Hill being one of the best deep ball receivers in the league finds a way to reel it in anyway. I have no idea why the announcers are drooling over the throw and the arm strength. That was Tyreke Hill being Tyreke Hill. Teddy underthrowing him just made his job harder.
  4. A buddy of mine I grew up playing with walked on at a D1AA school. He had to admit he just couldn't hack it. He was getting his bell rung in practice everyday. Getting crushing migraines, couldn't sleep, couldn't concentrate. Basically textbook post-concussion syndrome.
  5. It's weird. Speaking of combat sports, some guys get knocked out once and their "chin" is just gone. They can't take a hit anymore. Other guys can bounce back fine like it never happened. There's a lot about concussions that we just don't understand.
  6. I've gotten knocked the fug out twice. Once in a mountain bike crash and once in a car crash. It's impossible to describe how confusing it is when you wake up. After the car crash I was the same way. Just crazy emotional blabbering on about a situation a good friend found himself in a couple of years prior. Why? No fuging clue. I don't even remember it. I'm just lucky I never had any lingering effects.
  7. Nah, just a run of the mill concussion. A lot of the time it's not the hit so much as it is the brain getting sloshed around inside the skull. He basically got his head whiplashed off the turf there. And let's be real, he's still recovering from last week's concussion making him far more prone to another one.
  8. I guess it's just different for me as a fight fan. It's not a common response to a head injury but it's not rare either.
  9. When he kinda threw the staff under the bus late in the season that was it for him in Carolina. The ton from the organization regarding Teddy shifted immediately. Meanwhile, Rhule will toss players under the bus left and right when he himself has accomplished nothing in the NFL. If I had to choose Teddy with an elite staff or Rhule with an elite QB, I'd lick Teddy all day everyday.
  10. Teddy is a solid game manager. He's not gonna win you any games but he can at least keep you from losing games. He's basically exactly what you want in a veteran backup. He's especially ideal when your starter is Tua. They have the same strengths and weaknesses. Teddy is basically wish.com Tua. You don't have to change anything.
  11. Oof. Yeah, that's basically admitting that you know the guy shouldn't be out there and probably won't make it through the game. Yikes.
  12. The league still shoulders significant blame. They have the independent neurologist requirements to take the decision away from the team as much as possible. He should've been assessed by a neurologist before returning to the game last week.
  13. I'm not gonna make fun of the guy when he never should've been on the field tonight to begin with. The concussion protocol was clearly no followed.
  14. He got knocked the fug out, that's what happened. It's call the fencing response.
  15. Tua just got concussed again. Basically looked like an instant replay of last week. Head getting bounced off the field.
  16. Oh, don't get me wrong. Our offense is trash. But when Baker has had guys open, his accuracy has roughly resembled that of the apartment guy in Pulp Fiction.
  17. Ouch. There's the weakness in Tua's game. That deep ball was underthrown by miles.
  18. I'd go off on the media if I was a player. Why are y'all always trying to start poo. Always trying to get a guy to say something controversial? Try to twist their words into something controversial anyway if they don't? Go fug yourself. Go get a real job.
  19. Yeah, for the most part the decisions have been solid. It's been the execution that has been sorely lacking.
  20. Seems like a legit good dude. I'm sure he's getting sick and tired of trash QB play and trash coaching. But those checks are nice, so grin and bear it I guess.
  21. I'm happy Tua is ballin' this year. He's been dogged on by fans and the media, the Dolphins flirted hard with Watson, and through it all the kid has just kept his head down and kept working and focusing on the factors that he can control. Good for him.
  22. Selfishly rooting for a more easterly track. I'd like to get some decent but reasonable rainfall. No thanks on 5"+.
  23. If Baker keeps sucking we'll likely see Darnold at some point and he'll almost certainly end up sucking significantly worse.
  24. I think Carr is criminally underrated after being significantly overrated early in his career. I think he's a borderline top 10 QB. He's not their problem. Not in the least. But what would he cost? Honestly, Rhule is done. I'd rather just wait and let the next crew make their own moves.
  25. My in-laws live in Davenport which is west of Orlando. Not gonna be a fun but the real killer in hurricanes is usually the storm surge and obviously none of that inland. They have a generator large enough to power the whole house if need be.
