What is the impetus for the “Keep Pounding” pushaway?
LinvilleGorge replied to davos's topic in Carolina Panthers
If we were winning instead of actually being in the worst losing stretch in Panthers history then I might agree. I might still not like it, but I could understand. But, you cannot install new traditions while losing. It's tone deaf, it's ineffective, and it's laughable. Oh wait... come to think of it, that would actually be very on brand for David Tepper's Panthers. -
Who’s your ideal ‘trade back’ partner?
LinvilleGorge replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
No way you're getting that but considering what they signed Rodgers to, you honestly might get 22, 28, and Love if they actually wanted #6. Based on what I've heard about how Love has looked for them though... I might prefer a mid-rounder. -

It seems like we hear this every year. Multiple teams having less than 20 players graded as 1st round prospects. Here's what I'll say about that... from a pure analytical standpoint, when you know there is a constant of 32 1st round picks if you are consistently coming up with far fewer than that number in your analysis then your system sucks. -
I've only dreamed about the draft once prior to this year. I dreamed we'd draft Brayvion Roy in the 6th the night before we did just that. A couple of months ago, I had another dream about the draft. Ironically, also about the Vikings. I dreamed they drafted Sam Howell at #31 overall. How they came to acquire the 31st overall pick was unclear.

Later Round QBs. Is there anyone worth a look in the Draft?
LinvilleGorge replied to Michael G's topic in Carolina Panthers
The key difference being that NFL struggles aside, The Golden Calf of Bristol is one of the greatest college players ever. The guys in front of Willis at Auburn? Eh... not so much. -

It won't shock me if Christensen isn't ultimately the answer. -

There will likely be a good LT drafted after #17 and there will almost certainly be some LT busts drafted before #17. That's just the way the draft goes. -

The Packers. #22, #28, and a mid-rounder. They come up for a WR. -
Jeremiah's Final Mock: Panthers could think of trading UP?!
LinvilleGorge replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
For the first time in forever it seems like no one has any idea what we're going to do. For years now, the Huddle pretty much knew who our pick was going to be via rampant rumors. -
Can we not get a pick from green bay for robby?
LinvilleGorge replied to RumHam's topic in Carolina Panthers
If you were GB would you trade a pick for Robby? -

I've been hearing about Miami's return to greatness for over a decade. -

The playoffs were great this year but Tepper running the Panthers into the ground while trying to position himself to fleece the city of Charlotte out of a publicly funded stadium has just lifted the veil off the charade for me. I think the NFL may have seen it's last dime from me. I'll illegally stream the games I do watch. -

I think there's a reason why he bailed on Auburn. The talent is intriguing but that's all there is. -

We'll see. If Howell doesn't pan out and Tepper keeps running this bitch into the ground I could honestly see my NFL fandom flaming out. Tepper is really ruining this poo for me. -

I literally do not care. He's gonna be fine. Tepper's Panthers won't be. -
I slayed it this weekend. Caught a total of 18 trout. Mainly rainbows but a few browns and brookies mixed in. Two BIG rainbows - one 18" and the other almost 22". If you ain't euro nymphing you're missing out.

Jimmy sucks as an NFL QB. That's why they traded the farm to draft a non-D1 QB prospect.
-
I love Cam, but I'd prefer he retire. The other three? Honestly, probably Baker but there's almost certainly a lot to the toxicity rumors about him. Jimmy G or Darnold? Honestly, I'd just watch other games.
-
Here's the main problem... he kinda sucks. We're sitting here asking ourselves if he can get back to that same baseline of suck. Yikes. I'd seriously rather just stick with Darnold. Throwing good money after bad I not the answer.
-
But Rome fell a lot quicker than it was built. Just like Tepper burned the Panthers down as soon as he started putting his stamp on the organization.
-
Yeah, it's time to revert back to my pre-Peppers fandom. General NFL fan with favorite players I like to watch more so than favorite teams with a casual interest in the Panthers as the local team but with nothing concrete to solidify myself as a true Panthers fan. I mean, that's basically where I am. Tepper has stripped everything I loved away from the Panthers so yeah... that's kinda where I'm at. I don't anticipate watching a whole lot of Panthers games moving forward. I'll pay attention to see if there any signs of change or evolvement but I'm not expecting it.

As much as I dislike Rhule being our coach, your wife was right.
