  1. Yeah he would. No one is trading significant assets for a player on the last year of his deal unless they can agree to terms on an extension. If Lamar isn't willing to negotiate an extension, trade dead.
  2. It blowsy mind folks can't see this. Classic example of the reality that QBs usually get more credit than they deserve when the team is doing well and more blame than they deserve when the team isn't doing well. Jimmy G is and was trash carried by a good team. Foles... nah, he isn't good but that dude did capture lightning in a bottle during that run. He was a big reason why they won the SB. In the NFC CG and SB he threw for a combined 700+ yards and 6 TDs vs. only 1 INT whole completing roughly 70% of his attempts. That's ELITE play if only for a very brief yet pivotal period.
  3. Agreed. On paper this has the potential to be our best secondary ever. Granted, we've always prioritized the front seven over the secondary so that wouldn't necessarily be a monumental achievement but still.
  4. Oh, it has something to do with Love alright. If they thought he was an elite QB in the making they would've been ready to roll with him. I mean, that was the plan when they drafted him in the late 1st just like it was when they drafted Rodgers in the late 1st when Favre was still there.
  5. Posted by a college buddy who went to duke for seminary school. You KNOW the officiating was trash when even the Duke fans are saying stuff like this.
  6. ACC football officiating is as trash as trash gets. Even when I'm watching teams I don't really care about it stands out as just atrocious.
  7. There is WAY too much of this in college basketball these days and I'm not just talking about this game. It's virtually every game I watch. It's like all the refs have morphed into TV Teddy. They want their screentime.
  8. Maybe you should tell your shitbag of a coach not to complain about the refs because he chews on them like bacon fat during every stoppage of play.
  9. Yeah, I'm not big on Ridder but I don't see any chance of him falling to the 4th. Hell, if we had a 3rd and he was there I'd be saying he has to at least be in consideration at that point.
  10. You know what's embarrassing? Continually trolling a thread about a team you don't follow. You'll never see me posting in a duke thread because fug duke.
  11. Average is a considerable upgrade from 5-12. We missed on Watson. It is what it is. Gotta move on.
  12. Matt doesn't give a fug about Baylor. The guy let his players find out he was leaving on Twitter.
  13. I like keeping DJ. He's an elite WR in need of a QB. Now we gotta find that QB.
  14. Congrats to the Heels for beating Baylor and some super emotionally charged refs who bought into a comeback story!
  15. Agreed, but we've put ourselves in a much better place to potentially lure a legit vet. Elite vet QBs used to rarely change teams unless they were washed up but it's become the norm in recent years.
  16. I think they're very similar. Both check a lot of boxes physically. Both played their final season for very good but largely defensively driven teams. Then you watch them play and... you're just underwhelmed. The whole is less than the sum of the parts. You were just expecting considerably more.
  17. Always possible it only takes one team.
  18. I don't want any part of Desmond Ridder anywhere in the 1st round. I think he's basically Kellen Mond 2.0. Mond went at the top of the 3rd. That feels about right for Mond IMO.
  19. Oh, you always run the risk of any draft pick busting. This myth of a "safe pick" needs to die.
  20. I don't think Rhule will tie himself to Darnold this year. Whether it's a rookie or yet another afterthought vet we'll see.
  21. Agree. Drafting a guy like that in the mid-rounds makes all the sense in the world IMO. Yeah, he's probably boom or bust but if you draft a boom at QB in the mid-rounds that's a franchise altering draft pick (see Russell Wilson to Seattle in the 3rd).
  22. It was. The ACC went 2-4 in bowls. That was the second worst record among all 11 conferences represented in bowl games trailing only the Pac 12. The ACC went 8-13 out of conference (3-8 vs. the SEC). That was the second worst record among P5 conferences trailing only the Pac 12. Polls are opinions. Comparative records are real.
