In the NFC CG and SB he threw for a combined 700+ yards and 6 TDs vs. only 1 INT whole completing roughly 70% of his attempts. That's ELITE play if only for a very brief yet pivotal period.

Agreed, but we've put ourselves in a much better place to potentially lure a legit vet. Elite vet QBs used to rarely change teams unless they were washed up but it's become the norm in recent years.

I think they're very similar. Both check a lot of boxes physically. Both played their final season for very good but largely defensively driven teams. Then you watch them play and... you're just underwhelmed. The whole is less than the sum of the parts. You were just expecting considerably more.

Agree. Drafting a guy like that in the mid-rounds makes all the sense in the world IMO. Yeah, he's probably boom or bust but if you draft a boom at QB in the mid-rounds that's a franchise altering draft pick (see Russell Wilson to Seattle in the 3rd).
