When you have time to survey the field and you hit defenders between the numbers with your passes, that's on you.

At what point do they just have to bench Darnold?
LinvilleGorge replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's why I wanted to make the move for Minshew. A 6th for a legit secondary option was a no brainer IMO. We have no one to realistically turn to. Walker isn't the answer. -
I've said it for weeks now. The better the protection and the more time he has to survey the field, the worse the result tends to be. I thought it was potentially fixable but I'm starting to be convinced that it's not.

Hooters is changing their uniform. (Some servers are not happy)
LinvilleGorge replied to PanthersATL's topic in Huddle Lounge
Hooters hasn't been relevant in my adult life and I'm almost 40. I'm really surprised they're still around at all. Hell, their replacement Buffalo Wild Wings is basically circling the drain now. -
Vikings at Panthers Predictions - Let's hear it
LinvilleGorge replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
CMC is out and we're sticking with an atrocious IOL lineup. They're #2 in the NFL in sacks. Statistically, everything says this is likely going to be a close, tough fought, defensive battle. With our OL situation and Darnold starting to turn it over in drives the past couple games... oh wee mayne. One of the absolute best pass rushing defenses in the NFL is a bad one to face when your QB desperately needs a get right game. -
You clearly want to "kick" these threads, so go for it. You seem to have deep issues with how this forum is ran. You claim to have an IT background and to have considered making your own forum. Seriously, why don't you just do that? That seems a lot more productive than constantly complaining here while keeping weird records about threads and posters.

What? I was only talking about the number of times you two have appeared to white knight each other. That's what I meant by "out of nowhere". Meanwhile, your boy is rapidly falling into the "real troll" category.
-
What is the deal with you and @SBBlue? This isn't the first time you two have come out of nowhere to white knight each other. Seriously, if y'all gate it here so much, just go start your own forum. That seems like a win/win for everyone.
-
The rules are totally different in the TB. No, go ahead and have it out. You clearly have a bone to pick since you came out of nowhere with this stuff. Or... you can just go ahead and create your own forum. It's your call.

Cowboys Waive offensive tackle Brandon Knight.
LinvilleGorge replied to ichigo1057's topic in Carolina Panthers
He probably does. But he might suck less than some of the guys currently on our roster because we probably have starters on our OL who couldn't make the roster in Dallas. -
You've been given one warning point ever. Not by me. Not for calling me out. If you want to clout chase from a select few, at least be honest. Please, go start your own forum if you want.

My Theory on Thursday Night Games Going Forward
LinvilleGorge replied to Matthias's topic in Carolina Panthers
They're almost always terrible games and I really do think that if you looked at the numbers you'd find that injuries are significantly more likely in TNF games. It's just not a good formula for quality football. It's just a money grab from a league already making TONS of money. -
My Theory on Thursday Night Games Going Forward
LinvilleGorge replied to Matthias's topic in Carolina Panthers
If teams collectively boycotted TNF by refusing to play their starters maybe that would get the NFL to finally stop this terrible idea. -
Starting O-line tomorrow is Erving/Daley/Paradis/Miller/Moton
LinvilleGorge replied to SgtJoo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Rhule has truly gone full Rivera with the OL. Never go full Rivera. -
The problem is that you've transitioned into just being an outright troll.

Cowboys Waive offensive tackle Brandon Knight.
LinvilleGorge replied to ichigo1057's topic in Carolina Panthers
Have you seen our interior OL this year? It would take a heroic effort to be any worse. -
Cowboys Waive offensive tackle Brandon Knight.
LinvilleGorge replied to ichigo1057's topic in Carolina Panthers
Our biggest issues are along the IOL, so that's fine by me. Christensen was good enough last week that I think he should continue starting and developing at OT. -
Cowboys Waive offensive tackle Brandon Knight.
LinvilleGorge replied to ichigo1057's topic in Carolina Panthers
This. Erving had probably been our second beat OL prior to getting hurt. All he needs to be is better than our worst. -

LinvilleGorge replied to ichigo1057's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sure. Why not? We're at the point we have to take scraps, might as well be scraps off of one of if not the best OLs in the NFL. -

You're not often right, but gotta give credit where credit is due. You were right on that one. -
I think Chuba will get there. He's developing into a very solid #2 RB. We've kinda been using DJ to fill I for some of CMC's role during his absence this year but that also essentially takes our #1 WR out of the play as the threat of a WR. It's not an ideal situation. I think Shi Smith would probably be filling that role if he wasn't injured.
-
DJ is low key one of the absolute best WRs in the NFL. The numbers he's out up throughout his career given his QB, OL, and overall offensive situations is pretty unbelievable. VERY few guys in today's league could've duplicated it IMO.
-
His career year was almost entirely due to conveniently timed injury to CMC. He got to basically step in for CMC's role in the passing game as well as get more carries as a runner. How he was used last year is basically the blueprint for how he should be used in the NFL. There just wasn't an opportunity for him to really due that here because we had CMC. That was an issue I had with Gettleman. He tended to spend too many high value draft picks on overlapping talents. CMC/Samuel. KB/Funchess. Short/Butler. Etc.
