Sub-250 down pretty much rules out virtually anything rural. The entire time I lived in Evergreen I was dealing with like 20 down and I was less than three miles off I-70 and right off Evergreen Parkway. I wasn't exactly in the boonies.

That's honestly probably the ceiling with Pickett unless you have a great roster and lean really hard on the run. He's the opposite of what you want out of a 1st round QB IMO. If all goes well, his ceiling is probably Tannehill. Now Tannehill is a good QB but that level of QB really puts a lot of pressure on the rest of your roster. If that's a prospect's ceiling I honestly don't think you can draft him in the 1st.

Rivers had better mobility at the end of his career than Strong does currently and Rivers was immobile. That's real talk. Strong has the mobility of Leftwich at Marshall when he was playing on one leg being carried to the next LOS by his OL.

At some point you have to start swinging. What's the bigger opportunity cost, drafting a bust of a QB with good prospects at other positions available or drafting a good prospect at another position while passing on a legit QB? If you need a QB then QB is always your #1 need and your #2 need almost becomes irrelevant. If we were smarter with how we targeted vet stop gaps we wouldn't be so desperate.

It's always either "there's no QB worth drafting" or "all the QBs will be gone before we pick". According to the Huddle it's never the right time to draft a QB.
