I wonder if there's an injury issue going on that's limiting but isn't enough to list on the injury report? I mean no one seeing significant playing time is truly 100% at this point in the season. Everyone is banged up to some degree.

Yeah, that dude had an absolute laundry list of injuries coming into the league. I liked him in college and he has honestly shown more raw talent in the NFL than I thought he had coming into the draft but that injury history is real and even without the injury issues showing back up, he had regressed hard this year.

That would be a very Tepper's Panthers thing to do. I honestly don't expect it though. I really think they'll use the rest of this season to determine whether or not we pick up his 5th year option. I honestly don't think an extension is in the cards at this point barring an absolutely lightning in a bottle type run of Bryce playing great and us getting to at least the NFC CG and losing despite Bryce playing hero ball. So yeah, extremely unlikely.

This. If he keeps playing like this, GREAT! If he reverts to his norm, well poo. That sucks but it's expected. What people need to realize though is that virtually everyone on an NFL roster (with the possible exception of Shedeur Sanders) is capable of having a great performance if given 35+ opportunities and the stars align correctly on a particular Sunday. If you aren't capable of great play when everything goes perfectly to plan then you're not NFL caliber. Right now, the bad games are the norm and the truly great games are extremely few and far between.

I hope not. I'll probably get around to watching the game tomorrow night but based on this highlight reel I didn't learn anything new. Notice on almost every throw in this highlight there's a clean field in front of him with plenty of room to step up and nothing obscuring his vision. We already knew Bryce can play well in those scenarios. I've said over and over that given great protection, a throwing lane, and room to step up and through his throwing motion Bryce can make most of the throws. The issues arise when he starts getting pressure in his face. Bryce had a great game and deserves credit for that but in terms of evaluating the position moving forward we need to see that type of play down the stretch in scenarios that don't play to his strengths. Shedeur's stat line has to be one of the worst of all time. That's like a video game stat line from Madden from a person who has no idea how the game of football works and doesn't know the controls.

The team has improved over the course of the season but that means basically going from mega ass to just run of the mill ass. All that talk about building a pro type organization and rebuilding the roster and all they actually did was tear down the roster and make a mediocre roster straight up bad. The only person on this roster who might get a cup of coffee in the NFL is Jordan Shipp and if he's smart he hits the portal after the season. Gio is not a P4 college QB. If he's on the roster he needs to be fighting for a jersey on game day, not starting. I don't care what you paid him. It was a mistake. Move on.
