  1. I tried to tell folks that don't be surprised if CMC miraculously regains his durability if he's traded to a contender. Once he got his bag, why take a beating for a bad team? Hell, I don't blame him.
  2. We were never able to win with him so I don't hate trading him and his contract for assets we might be able to win with.
  3. Damn, the Eagles are getting some VERY friendly officiating.
  4. Did you actually read the post you quoted?
  5. Hurts has quietly been trash today. Bailed out by a great catch off the shoelaces and a bad call on a trapped ball.
  6. Yeah, I see that now. For the longest time he was just strolling around on the sidelines fully dressed with no one paying attention to him.
  7. The Eagles went very fast. Meanwhile, the Niners are in the NFC CG despite having multiple injuries at QB. That usually means top 10 draft position is coming, not a playoff run.
  8. Did Purdy just get rattled an tap out? I mean, they're not even giving him medical attention on the sidelines.
  9. I didn't hate drafting Corral (though I would've drafted Howell over him all day everyday) but the reality is that he just flat out didn't look like he belonged on an NFL field in the preseason. I've never seen a guy look THAT bad and pan out.
  10. Point out where I've said that. Hell, I haven't even advocated trading up for him. I'm just ragging on you for terribly flawed logic.
  11. This. If there was a Manning/Luck/Lawrence type prospect available the Bears would be drafting him and trading Fields. But they're called once in a decade type prospects for a reason.
  12. "Should" doesn't matter. They can all bust. This poo is not a science and it's not nearly as simple as you're trying to make it out to be.
  13. They're all question marks. This myth of "sure thing" prospects needs to die. There are busts and steals in every draft.
  14. There was a kid in my daughter's kindergarten class who could run like the wind and had a rocket arm. We need to hold out for him.
  15. Yep. Next year is always better. Listen, I'd be breaking the table pounding on it for Drake Maye if he was available but he's not. And there's no guarantee we'll be in any situation to land him next year anyway. Hell, if we are Reich might be one and done.
  16. Good grief, the "let's wait until next year" argument that folks have been touring ever since we initially released Cam. How's that working out so far?
  17. This was my argument. Don't get me wrong, I was relieved when Rhule was fired just because then we knew that terrible was officially going to end but I was saying that once you decided to retain him you might as well see it through and get that top 5 maybe top 3 pick out of it. Bonus points for avoiding the criticism for not hiring Wilks.
  18. He'd be 4-0 over Mahomes' Chiefs. I mean, Dan Marino never won a SB. We didn't win a SB in 2015 when Cam was clearly the best QB in the league at the time. SBs are team accomplishments. QB play is what it is and I honestly think Joe Burrow as an individual player probably does more to lift up his team than any other player in the league right now.
  19. Chinn can do it too. But just like Chancellor it should not be his primary role. It's a wrinkle in the defense not the base. Jeremy Chin is the far superior athlete. Chancellor: Chinn CAN play as a primary deep safety. It's not his best suited role but he can do it.
  20. I honestly have no clue what to expect out of the Colts at QB. Their last two highly drafted QBs were two of the most slam dunk no brainer #1 overall picks in the last quarter of a century. Trevor Lawrence is probably the only other one in the mix.
  21. That's generally how it goes. Most teams at the top of the board are there in large part because they suck at QB. The Bears are an anomaly. It's an impressive feat of terrible roster building to have a promising young talent at QB and still suck bad enough to land #1 overall.
  22. Yeah, I'm really not sold on Levis. A guy his age with his experience should not still be so raw. If we're gonna take a swing on a raw physical specimen I'd prefer Anthony Richardson.
