Frank Reich has NO EXCUSES… playoffs or bust in 3 seasonsJawnyBlaze replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers Eh, I think we compete for the division this year, maybe win it, maybe Carr extends the Saints’ relevance a little. But we should definitely dominate the NFCS next year and be a contender for the whole NFC. At least a playoff win or two.

Panthers showing interest in RB Jamaal WilliamsJawnyBlaze replied to Saca312's topic in Carolina Panthers Would be great to get him, but I’d rather have Thielen and/or Chark if it came down to only getting one or two of them

Panthers to host former Vikings WR Adam ThielenJawnyBlaze replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers I mean A) he’s a little bitch and B) I was just using him as an example. He’s already old and broke, and even though he and Thielen are around the same age, OBJ’s game was the type that disappears quicker than someone like Thielen. Not to mention he was reportedly wanting $20mil a year, and if it’s even half that it’s too much for him.

Panthers to host former Vikings WR Adam ThielenJawnyBlaze replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers Yea, a reliable handed vet is exactly what we need. Better than an old and broke former big play superstar like OBJ, I’d love it if we could land Thielen (dependable) and Chark (big play potential, still young). Swap out one DJ for another heh.

Panthers not tendering Myles Hartsfield will become UFAJawnyBlaze replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers If I recall correctly Hartsfield was really bad. “Started x games” isn’t exactly a huge pro when you were bad in those starts.

Another interesting nugget, Chris Simms says Stroud is the #1 and it’s not even close. Says Lawrence vs Wilson, Burrow vs Herbert, Mayfield vs Josh Allen were closer than Stroud vs Young.

Even in his “worst” game he was great, just that flip int was even partially his fault. Otherwise even if Young might be better at those scrambling schoolyard plays, he also can’t make those ridiculous throws you see Stroud make routinely. His throwing ability is just insane.

Only realistic way I see that happening is if a bad team trades us their 1 next year for our 2 this year. Or we trade some player for a next year’s 1st at some point in the season. Only candidate I could see for that is Burns and I doubt that happens.

Another thing Cosell said that some of us have been pointing out, it’s not Richardson’s ability to make reads or any of the mental stuff that is most suspect, it’s his accuracy. Cosell called it “controlling the football”. Says he is downright bad at it, but could learn. I’d take that gamble if we were still at 9 and Stroud and Young were gone, but definitely not at 1.

Great listen. Cosell says the same stuff I’ve been saying for the past four or five months. CJ’s throwing ability is special, can do things not many young QBs can ever do with his throws. He’s plenty mobile for what the QB position requires and has shown it his whole career, not just the final game. Says he’s the top QB. Very complimentary of Young too, specifies it’s his size not his height that is concerning.

	Not a bad deal, $7mil a year
-
I could see tossing in a 4th to move up to 30-33 maybe if someone is there but I don’t see us trading away significant picks again any time soon unless it was for an NFL player that could help us right away.
-
	Amazing deal. Fittsmagic.

Good luck to him. Seemed like a good dude. Went from one bad situation with the Jets to another with us.

Hope so. He’s a better kicker than Pineiro, but he’s gotta stay healthy for that to matter.

Ah, I was just going off profootballreference.com. Still, 315 is also a bit light for NT to my recollection. We’ll see. Maybe they have him add a bit more weight too.
