I honestly think it was because Moore played special teams and XL couldn't so they sacrificed Hunter for Moore. If XL could play special teams Moore wouldn't be here. I'm being to wonder if there's anything XL can do.

My crystal ball tells me another qb will be brought in to compete for the starting job and if Young is here no extension will be offered going into year 4. It does not reveal where said qb will come from. For another $100 I can try again.

The team is going to do whatever they do. Being angry at the player for the teams stupidity is misplaced outrage. Of course it will be a bad investment to extend him. But what can I do to make it not happen? I can promise you that whatever happens with Young an extension here is the last thing I'm worried about at the moment. The only reason he is starting right now is they have no other choice. Thats on the GM and coaches to deal with.

Fantasy football is driving all of that. Nobody cares if they win the game as long as the get you fantasy points. Every player is judged by how many fantasy points they are worth so it's all about stats.

Nobody is advocating for being patient with Young. That shipped sailed his first season. Young is what he's ever going to be the day he was drafted. He was a good college qb that isn't suited for the nfl. There have been many who came before him and many more who will come after him that will suffer the same fate.

I think it should be obvious by now that Young was over drafted. You cannot always equate investment to ability. Its not the players fault the team thinks they are worth more than they actually are. I think you are pointing the finger in the wrong direction.

I'm not talking about anyone specific. We were talking about qb development. That applies to any qb drafted back then whether he was the first pick or not.

To add to how it use to be with qb's, most successful teams drafted a qb several years before he was needed. That gave them an opportunity to develop him before he was thrown in the fire. In today's society the qb must start day 1 or he's a bust. Its all about getting immediate gratification for both the fans and the owners that want an immediate return.

This team hasn't developed a single player in 2 decades. I wouldn't put any hopes that they ever will. So whatever a player becomes here will be solely of their own making.

Its a chance a quality time together before Christmas. I hate giving Tepper anything but it's not always about the money when it comes to what matters. So we will spend a couple of days in Charlotte and sample some good food and have a few laughs at the teams expense. We are sitting close enough that I can heckle Tepper if he's near the bench so there's that.

Those would be 3rd and 4th on the list of what's wrong with the offense.

My son and I decided to go to his 1st game together and that's the game we settled on just in case it meant anything for either team. I guess we don't have to worry about that anymore. I hope the weather will be nice at least while we witness another team taking our lunch money in our own house.

Wilks wasn't going to change this teams trajectory. Thats just fans wishful thinking. He's not a headcoach plain and simple.
