Jones: Tepper now looking for "a young offensive mind"
Jon Snow replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
That will depend on finding the right coach. -

I've seen a lot of nfl coaches come and go over the years. The coaches that had success are either retired or should be. The next generation of coaches to replace the old ones has yet to produce one. Billy B. falls into the should be retired group. Tomlin will be the only great coach remaining from old guard. I want one of those in next year's model. -

That's certainly good to hear. -

There's one every year that comes out of nowhere to look like the next up and coming thing. I'm not getting suckered into beleiving another overhyped coordinator is just what we need. I will wait until the dust settles on this season before I start to look around. -

So. At one time Matt Rhule had an impressive Temple team. I've watched Seattle play. I'm not impressed. -

Folks look at the coordinators as the cure all for a bad team but being a head coach is more than being good at one aspect of the game. The head coach has to be a man among men to lead a team. Just because a coach is really good at offense or defense doesn't mean they can lead a team of grown men to get the best out of them from one week to the next. -
Too obvious. Now punting on 1st down? They would never see that coming. Genius I tell ya.

Can't be! Rhule arranged for him to receive degree from Temple. -

Seattle is as bad as we are. I'm not in favor of pursuing a media darling again. Look where that got us. -

Hell no to Jones. No more f*cking qb rejects. -

Nope, never claimed to. -
Well they did kinda sorta established that they can inddeed actually run the football after all. Granted it wasn't much to write home about. But that McCaffrey fellow is pretty good a football so it's a little slanted in his favor.

I have not noticed anything that jumps out to me that would indicate a trend toward stopping the rush to get their hands up beyond normal. Maybe some coaches have figured out tells that are qb specific or situational keys. I really do not get into it enough nor care enough to figure out Bakers tell but I'm sure there is one.

You guys are no better than Marty and Dave when it comes to judging HC material. I doubt any of you would know a good HC if he were standing right in front of you. -
They've always been coached to do that. They're taught the from high-school. You just don't notice when they miss. Baker just seems to have more than anyone since he's been in the league. I'm not sure it all has to do with his height.

Make no mistake Wilks is a short timer. I'm surprised he accepted the position in the first place. It's a no win job. But I guess it comes with a fat severance check in the form of a temporary salary until all of them are shown the door when the season is over. He will go back to the college ranks until he retires.

The charges are bad. Their coach is not cut out to be a head coach.

Honestly, do you? I'm serious. I sure as hell couldn't tell you from what I've witnessed from the lot of them. Brother I think he may have a point. This has to be the worst assemblage of qb's on one team in decades. On top of that 4 out of 5 of them are hurt. I think some of you need a reality check.
