June 1st (trade and cut transactions) rumors

Interesting. I like where your head is at. -
This is not to be overlooked. Finally there is someone on staff to develop a QB. Now go find his heir for the future. P.S. A stable of QBs to develop would be nice as well. Thanks, Concerned Fan

Old man Snow will leave when he's good and damn well ready. The old cuss knows his stuff so let the man do some work and build our defense of the future. He is just getting started.

They are still working on timing. It will improve....I hope. -
I'm about to turn 60 and facing early retirement because of my health. Enjoy your health while you're still young. 60 is the new 50 my ass. Although I will say that I have "burned the candle from both ends" most of my life so I'm not complaining too much. It's been a hell of a ride so far. F*CK 2020!

Which Positions Have The Panthers Improved Most This Off Season
Jon Snow replied to KatsAzz's topic in Carolina Panthers
Truthfully, yes. Contrary to what you may think this team is trending up even with the ill advised Hurney year setback. Tepper is playing the long game and on top of that there is no way this team is going to lay an egg this coming season. Sure, injuries in key places could derail playoff aspirations as would it any team. But you see we now have a guy who is capable of mitigating such injuries by building a deeper roster. That's how you build a consistent winner. -

Rhule is in no way in any danger of losing his job. His seat is ice cold my friend. This is not your daddy's Panthers team you are watching. -

It would be the only one I would purchase to be honest. He's been here for what seems like inception. -

I'm interested in the new center/ long snapper. I need to know if I should place money on him replacing JJ. Oh, and find out what that bear is doing. -
Brother, I say this with the best of intentions so please take it as such. You have to let it go.

It's hard to forget when he's constantly reminding you what a colossal prick he is.

Signing Darnold did not prevent them from taking Fields at 8. They knew who was going to be there at 8. From what I can glean from the little info out there that they already had the picks before ours laid out almost exactly how it fell. So knowing that prior to the draft and from all their evaluation of QB possibilities they decided Sam was the best choice of who would be available in the draft. They already knew that Fields would be there at 8 and they passed. That's all you need to know.

The Panthers are playing with house money gambling on Darnold. They literally have nothing to lose but a little time, which they would have had to give up anyway getting a rookie ready. I just don't see a reason to fret over this QB thing just yet. The team is getting a little stronger and deeper with every move. It will take some time but the results will be noticable as they go along. Barring a lot of injuries I think this team will embarrass other teams more than they get embarrassed.- 38 replies

The Niners were also in a better position to do so. I'm extremely happy that the Panthers didn't give up that for him by the way. Time will tell if the Niners chose wisely as well. Patience my friend, another man's trash and all that. I'm not ready to predict how the season will play out just yet but it will not be as hard to watch as last season for me. Even with average an QB this team will make some noise.

Market value? What does that mean? The team set the value for Matt Stafford by what they were willing to sacrifice to get him. This isn't Madden. The inference is that they do value the position and are trying to address it without crippling the team. Face it man you just are extremely upset over them not valuing Fields as much as you did. You could be right and he is the GOAT. There's just too much that goes into a players success to try to predict who's going to succeed or not.

Them going after Stafford, and if the rumors are to be believed Watson, kinda puts snag in your theory. Did they chose wisely? Time will tell. Personally I'm just digging a different approach.
