It must suck to be some of you. Always so angry if you don't get your way.

Once you step into a training camp the college you attended does not matter. As long as you can play the position it does not matter one bit where you got a degree. This is big boy school and all they want to know is can you get it done. Apparently Ricky can.

Johnny "Football" Hekker. Not only can he kick it a mile he can also throw it over a mountain.

Can I borrow your time machine?

It's just reality. When you have to blow an already mediocre team up to rid it of years of bad coaching, player development and drafting, what do you think is going to happen? No amount of pumping themselves to think they are SB bound is going to overcome that. I laugh when I here that "this team almost made the playoffs last season so thay better this season or everyone needs to go". Fool, that's what they just did. Fans are not known for patience, but that's what they are gonna need this season. You cannot turn a turd into a diamond necklace overnight.

Riiiiight.

As a fan? We are of course. Realistically? You won't know that until the season is over.

All of mine as well.

I'm trying to see how long Mr. Scot and CRA will keep this stalemate of a debate going. It's kinda like old people scewing, it take awhile just to get their clothes. By the time they do they've forgotten why they did. So they put their clothes back on and continue to argue about the temperature in the house.

I just saw that on nfl network. RIP Gil, you will be missed. Loved his articles and analysis over the years. He was one of the best in the business.

3 if you consider Rici a special teams "ace", whatever that means. He basically the Sam Franklin of the offense. -
Erving isn't good enough to make a practice squad anymore. He got out performed by a DII player that is 30 lbs lighter. Think about that for a minute. The team has 99 problems, but the oline depth isn't one of them right now. The depth last year was nonexistent as it was. Now it has better depth after they were battle tested in the preseason and in camp. With luck, how much better in the long haul will hopefully not have to be determined in live games this season at least. Next offseason will be another re-evaluation and adjustments as necessary.

The receiver? Sure is. The receiver ran a crappy route. You could see him slow up and his brake to the inside was sloppy and too deep. But Jamison did his break on the ball perfectly. He just couldn't hang on. You don't get a chance to pick off Bryce like that often. Bryce was the only rookie qb the didn't have an INT in preseason. I hope I didn't just jinx him.

We have sucked against the run in a 4-3 for years now. This is the first go in a 3-4 with a mishmash of players not accustomed to and most likely not suited for it. I would say set your expectations accordingly.

This current team is not a finished product. So I'm not expecting playoffs this season. But if they somehow make it, it will be largely due to his impact and the ability of these coaches.
-
Of the 5 TE's I think 1 of them will be a special teams only slot. Ricci will be 1 of most likely 3 dedicated special teams positions. The other 4 will probably end up being 3 by mid-season or sooner.

Snyder 2.0

You put the two in the same room together. That's how it spreads, they will eventually start to parate each other.

Bryce will be fine. He's just different mentally. He just gets it, he understands the game at a level that greatly offsets his size disadvantage. Maybe that's what's driven him to learn as much as he can about the game, and use his ability to process information at the levels he can to his advantage. Whatever it is he is just got that Cam Newton rarity thing that makes them unique. It's difficult to explain because they are so unique. He's more in the mold of Luke when it comes to preparation and Mahomes in the field. Will he succeed in the league? I truly believe he will barring injury, just as with anyone else.
