  1. ...also time for names to be added to the list and names removed.
  2. I never needed stats to tell me how a player is doing. I watch every snap and if they have more bad plays than good plays that is all I need to see. Young has more bad than he has good, by a wide margin. He was going to need to overcome an overwhelming size disadvantage coming into the league. He had to lead a dysfunctional, talentless team and turn it around. He had no chance and somehow the FO overlooked all of that. The fact that the odds of it being remotely successful were 1000:1 is all the reason you need. Tepper made his fortune taking gambles like this but that is in finance, you don't do that in football.
  3. It was under thrown and off target. He was wide open. No excuse for that.
  4. And new ownership had everything to do with that. They hired people who know what they are doing and let them run the program. Here? Not so much.
  5. It took new ownership to change the culture in that organization. We are not getting that here.
  6. I'm pretty sure they've seen this movie before. They get paid no matter what so they will get over it.
  7. I think it's becoming apparent that there isn't anything in the locker room to lose.
  8. Well your definition of vet is ambiguous. Canales had his chance to pick another guy and chose to stand pat with Andy. That's on him, and Dan to some extent for allowing it or insisting on it, which is worse. Or you can blame Tepper for it all.
  9. I remember the Europe stint but their practice squad is where I thought we picked him from. I remember the active roster as qb3 for a couple of years before ending up on the practice squad where we snatched him. I thought he was on the practice squad 2 years and the roster 1 year. Got it backwards.
  10. Honestly, they needed to do this to force a decision once and for all. At least I hope that was the motivation. They know Andy isn't going to win many if any games at all so it's going to be Young or the next guy from the draft. They didn't want a backup coming in and winning a game or two to knock them further down the draft board. If that wasn't the plan going into this season then I'm not sure what we are doing here.
  11. Their bast chance would be after this season, barring a miraculous turnaround in his play. But I think he will do just enough for the team to keep him on the roster in hopes a miracle happens until his rookie contract is up.
  12. Dalton will not be here next season. I'm guessing Young will be here unless he's traded. They still control him for 2 more years so who knows. Who the starter will be i haven't a clue as I left my crystal ball in my other pants.
  13. He was benched with zero plans for him to start ever again. If not for Andy's accident he would had to compete for his job this past offseason. That's if he was still here.
  14. He spent most of his Saints career on their practice squad.
  15. The pivot came when the knives came out. The staff imploded from within and Fitterer got exposed as a fraud that wasted the draft assets on the wrong qb and hired the wrong coaches. Last year was an attempt to see if it was possible to salvage some of the draft assets and assess who stays and who goes. But what they ended up with was all they could get as coaches who would accept Teppers conditions. If it was only about Young he doesn't get benched after 2 games with only Dalton as plan B.
  16. This team has never drafted a qb to develop, tuly develop to take over if and when the starter proves ineffective. They only draft one a couple of years after the starter has been ineffective. They never plan ahead.
  17. It wasn't Young everyone worth a damn wanted to avoid. Its the man who holds Monday morning meetings with the headcoach.
  18. Someone will take. But it will be another no name that can't get a job with another team.
  19. No team wants Shedeur. Colorado already has a better than he was.
  20. He was hired because nobody else would take the job. The whisper bs was given him by pundits and fans to try to reason as to why he was here in the first place.
  21. That INT was all on Bryce. He was looking right at the safety and knew X was too deep on his route. And still threw it when he could have trotted the 2 yards needed to the 1st down. It was the same on the 4th and 1 play in the end zone. He could have gotten the 1st down himself but chose to airmail it out of bounds. He sh*t the bed plain and simple. But he was the only person having a bad day Sunday.
