Thanks for sharing this. Well worth watching.

What's to stop them from trading future 1st's to move up next season? There's infinite ways to get in the top 3 if they want to, ask SF.

Week Of: Draft Buzz, Rumors, & News (w/updates)
Jon Snow replied to davos's topic in Carolina Panthers
Many? One guy was claiming he was a generational center. I have not seen "many" saying to draft him. A couple wanted him in the bottom of first but I have not seem "many' wanting him at 6. -
You will get no argument from me. Just stating the obvious.

Tepper will not let Rhule trot Darnold out there again. Tepper wants fans in the seats and Darnold ain't gonna do it. The man tried to trade the bank for Watson for goodness sake. You will not see him starting for the Panthers again. I would almost bet you will see Baker behind center before you will see Sam.

Bob McGinn's annual draft spectacular (QB class)
Jon Snow replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Indifferent at this point. Would not surprise me one way or the other no matter who's selected. I'm sure they will pass on someone we could drastically us somewhere on this team. Could use help nearly everywhere. Except long snapper. I'm prepared to be disappointed when they pass on Icky if he is there at 6. If they pick a qb at 6 I'm prepared to laugh my ever lovin ass off. Watching the Huddle explode will be glorious. Then I settle back down to Indifference until this team shows us something to be proud of. -
Point taken.

Not a chance. But one can dream.

It's well worth a listen. It would help a lot of posters understand how the draft process actually works. My keep them from sounding like an idiot when they post. The Scarnecchia offensive line evaluation process should be a text book. I wish that man was on our team. Definitely well worth the listen.

Of course. I'm trying to figure out who Tepper is going to throw 3 1st in trade next offseason. The guy they go after in the draft is of little interest at this point. Whoever it is will not add to the win column this season. I'm not ready to believe the Baker and Jimmy G talk just yet. The way I see it there is no middle ground for them next season. It's win the south or else. If the chosen one (whoever that is) is not capable of doing that I cannot see them trading for either of those two. So what's left? Pick one of these kids you think you can build around wait for Tepper to throw the farm at his next qb heartthrob. I'm telling you the man is on a mission.

Draft position does not limit them from trading up for a QB next season. It doesn't matter that they have no day two picks this year either. If there is a QB that they think will help they will do whatever it takes to get him. Whether it's at 6 this season or not, they will get one this year.
-
Don't worry Tepper is gonna try to trade for Joe Burrow next year, or was it Trevor. I mean if he's will to trade the farm for Watson he will try to trade for anyone he can. He's struck out twice already, there will be another swing. Tepper is not waiting for a rookie to develop no matter who is drafted this year.

Panthers terminating Rock Hill project agreements
Jon Snow replied to Dorian Gray's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is a fact. Tepper may be the man who signed the deal with whomever he did in RH but after that his people do the rest. The design firm/firms would be the responsible charge to submit the plans for approval to start the permitting process. That is a very involved process, especially with State permitting required as well. At least that's how it works in NC. Honestly, i have not cared enough about this fiasco to follow beyond what the local TV reports on it so take my 2 cents as what it is. -
Athletic mock projects NC State tackle to Panthers
Jon Snow replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
They can't get that lucky. If that's how it falls the card better be in before Goodall can say "The Panthers are on the clock". -
What are some positives to come out of the Tepper era?
Jon Snow replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
This I agree with. -
I'm not talking about taking either at 6. I'm talking trade out of the top 15.
-
You just may not have to imagine it if Fitterer can manage to trade down. There's also this Raimann(sp?) kid to keep an eye on.
-
I'm not going to say the guy doesn't have the talent. He just can't get out of his own head. He never was going to make it in the NFL.
-
Honestly, I don't think it's because he thinks he's smarter than everyone. It appears to me that he's just a guy that is determined to get what he wants and doesn't like taking no for an answer. He's got FU money and given how he grew up I'm not sure I wouldn't be the same way. Although I would have probably gotten better advisors in helping me run my football team.
-
I think that's because he's never had it and it freaks him out. I think that any promise he had was beat out of a long time ago.
-
I'm not implying they are looking for the next Russell Wilson. I'm saying that whoever he has as the guy he is high on may not be who everyone is assuming. I'm betting that decision has already been made and I wouldn't assume anyone based on visits. If I were going to guess I would guess someone with the least amount of Panthers attention.

This Kenny Pickett to the Panthers is like nails on a chalkboard every time I see it. For you young kids it's a large green slate board the teacher would write on with a piece of chalk. Us old farts didn't have white boards the teacher uses for their projector or as a video screen. Anyway, I'm getting tired of seeing him mocked to us.
