  1. He has an injury history, but he is that bigger back we need. I agree. Love to replace Hubbard--not a fan This makes me wonder if not having a sixth or seventh rounder gave us enough time to call these players--maybe it is a better strategy than drafting in the sixth and seventh. Redmond was signed a few minutes after the draft---that was a done deal when pick 259 was announced. I also figured that we would sign Leota--from Asheville, visited the Panthers, there is a real chance to make the roster here.
  2. Do you know something? If not, point?
  3. I see 3 players that have a shot--and I do not know much about some of the others Leota OLB/Edge Redmond DE Wright, CB
  4. CB Wright https://www.nfl.com/prospects/rejzohn-wright/32005752-4963-1850-24c7-68a3f57095d3 CB Milton CAREER STATISTICS: Milton is a fifth-year defensive back and he entered the 2022 season with 50 career tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, five passes defended, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. The star defensive back was a three-star coming out of high school. Milton would make his collegiate debut in 2018, but he would use his redshirt. He appeared in all 14 games during the 2019 season as he finished the year with seven total tackles and one forced fumble. Milton would continue to add to his statline in 2020 as he compiled 17 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and two pass breakups. He would play in all 14 games for the Bears defense as he finished the year with a career-high in 26 tackles along with two pass breakups and a fumble recovery. THE TRUTH: Milton has been a force in the Baylor secondary and he will continue to rise on draft boards come next year. According to draft scouts, he is listed as a top-350 prospect heading into next year’s draft and is projected as a HPFA (High Priority Free Agent). A lot of NFL teams will be interested in Milton and he could even find himself sneaking into the late rounds of the NFL Draft.
  5. during the 7th round, I put together a wish list--started a thread but did not see this one. So I am posting here---bold means we signed them: ILB: Bump Poole Oklahoma; Anfernee Orji, Vanderbilt; Isaiah Moore, NC State; Ivan Pace, Cincinnati OLB/Edge: Eku Leota, Auburn; Andre Carter II, Army; Isaiah Land, Florida A&M; Thomas Incoom, Central Michigan; Tyrus Wheat, Missisippi State CB: Mekhi Gardner, LSU; Eli Ricks, Alabama; Rejzohn Wright, Oregon State DT: Jerrod Clark, Coastal Carolina (NT): PJ Mustipher, Penn St. (Did not think Redmond would be available) OT: John Ojukwu Boise State; Richard Gouraige Florida (t/g) ; Earl Bostic, Kansas OC: OG: Curtis McLendon Chattanooga; Emil Eklyor, Alabama TE: Noah Gindorff, South Dakota State; Blake Whiteheart Wake Forest; Joel Wilson, Central Michigan RB: SaRodorick Thompson Texas Tech; Keaton Mitchell, East Carolina

  7. We signed a Mark Milton CB from Baylor Height: 6’1” Weight: 190 lbs
  8. Eku Leota, Auburn signed Very happy to see this one. They had him in for a visit, and he visited 3 other teams.
  9. signed Jalen Redmond DT Oklahoma. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/jalen-redmond/32005245-4461-3410-5102-5e80a97e82ca
  10. Undrafted Free Agent possibilities ILB: Bump Poole Oklahoma; Anfernee Orji, Vanderbilt; Isaiah Moore, NC State; Ivan Pace, Cincinnati OLB/Edge: Eku Leota, Auburn; Andre Carter II, Army; Isaiah Land, Florida A&M; Thomas Incoom, Central Michigan; Tyrus Wheat, Missisippi State CB: Mekhi Gardner, LSU; Eli Ricks, Alabama; Rejzohn Wright, Oregon State DT: Jerrod Clark, Coastal Carolina (NT PJ Mustipher, Penn St. OT: John Ojukwu Boise State; Richard Gouraige Florida (t/g) ; Earl Bostic, Kansas OG: Curtis McLendon Chattanooga; Emil Eklyor, Alabama TE: Noah Gindorff, South Dakota State; Blake Whiteheart Wake Forest; Joel Wilson, Central Michigan RB: SaRodorick Thompson Texas Tech; Keaton Mitchell, East Carolina
  11. Better than this former Panther DB: 4.66s Percentiles vs. Cornerbacks 40 Yard Dash 4.66s 4th percentile Vertical Jump33" 13th percentile Broad Jump124" 64th percentile 3-Cone Drill7.09s 21st percentile Josh Norman everybody!!
  12. We got a QB, a Moose-like WR who should see the field soon. Good draft. Zavala is the pick that is the most interesting to me. He and Mays can compete for the LG position with BC. If they can beat out BC, BC becomes the swing T. We get better at G and have depth at T. If this works out, Zavala plays beside the T he knew at State; they should have chemistry. Mays will fill in for Corbett until he returns and backup the C spot. Christensen will backup both T spots and serve as an emergency G. I have no problem with Johnson--just the trade up---he and Barno will complete and one will emerge. Until then, let Burns, YGM, and Haynes hold it together. Jammie is a good football player, so he will upgrade special teams. He can compete and take over when the Woods and Rowe contracts end.
  13. runs a 4.6 Not likely. He is a good football player, and the 3-4 tends to use Safeties. We have Rowe who can play nickel and Chinn will probably play big nickel. Apparently, they like our CB room
  14. do not rule out To'o To'o LB from Bama--I am not a fan--I think I want Trice.
  15. watch them take a RB--Israel from Pittsburgh....still, I have to think Fitt wants another pick and will trade back--or take CB now and call it a day. Wylie TE possible.
  16. then we get on the phones and start talking to the players we think might go undrafted--Eke Leota (Edge) is one they could take here or beg to sign as an undrafted free agent.
  17. I think one of the top 3 CBs will be there--there are only about 8 picks until we pick. I do think Fitterer may trade back-- But I would take the CB and then get on the phones for the undrafted free agents.
  18. There is no way this staff watched film from 2022 and feels good about CB-
  19. Trice, Rush, and Smith (CBs) are going to go soon....after that, I do not see a lot of help at CB in the draft
  20. I would be happy with Terrell Smith CB Minnesota as well. I think the last pick will be CB--unless we trade back for more picks
  21. trade back or take the G or a CB
  22. Here is how I see it--if you are going to be weak at Edge/pass rusher, you better be strong at CB and vica versa-- I am not as down on the Johnson pick as most--I think he would have been higher had he been treated with some common sense at Oregon. So he is unknown, and he has the size and speed to be good--and he and Barno should push each other in the area of development. I would have taken Ojulari over Mingo, but I think Mingo has the potential to be Moose II. By taking Mingo and then Johnson, we are focused on more of a long-term benefit than immediate needs--that is why this pick is so hard to understand. In a year or two, imagine if Johnson and Barno have been coached up and become good? It took Charles Johnson 3 years. It took Greg Hardy 3 years. It took Rucker 2 years-
