  1. Yes, if we lose a T, we'd have to pull BC outside and probably put Cade Mays at LG. Sorta like we did Travelle Wharton, but I think that puts you at a disadvantage because you have 1 injury and get weaker at 2 positions.
  2. To help myself comprehend and understand the roster, I always develop a depth chart to help me see the roster. It may seem weak in some areas, for example, as of now, our starting LG is also our swing T. Not sure how they will use Luvu or Chinn, but I guess. So here are my takes--feel free to view and modify. OFFENSE Left tackle Left Guard Center Right Guard Right Tackle Ekwonu Christensen Bozeman Corbett Moton (BC) Mays Tecklenburg Brown (PS) Wide Receiver Tight End Quarterback Running Back Fullback/Hback Hurst Sanders (Ricci) Marshall Thomas Dalton Hubbard Tremble Eason (PS) Blackshear Shenault Ricci Corral (PS) Brown (PS) Smith Sullivan (PS) Wright (PS) Saunders 29/25 Roster spots (including colored blanks—will need to cut 4 from this list—2 QBs, 1 RB, 1 WR, 1 TE DEFENSE Edge /OLB Defensive End Nose Tackle Defensive End Edge/OLB Burns Williams Tuttle Brown Haynes Luvu McCall Gross-Matos Barno Roy (PS or cut) Cornerback Linebacker Linebacker Cornerback Horn Chinn Thompson Jackson Taylor Smith Henderson (Luvu?) Thom-Oliver (PS) Safety Safety Woods Bell Franklin (Chinn) 25 spots, counting colored blanks Yellow Blanks: Where we must add an impact player Orange Blanks: Where we need depth NEEDS/PRIORITIES (4 Primary are indicated in yellow; 4 secondary needs are indicated with orange) 1. #1 Quarterback 2. #1 Wide Receiver 3. DE (Rotational) 4. #3 Wide Receiver 5. Linebacker (depth) 6. OT (depth) 7. Cornerback (depth) 8. Safety (depth)
  3. I was immediately sold on Stroud, but the more research I do, the more I keep wondering about Young. Aside from his size, he checks all the boxes---I know Stroud can check boxes too....I think it will become more clear--but I tried to keep an open mind and not lock in on one decision in early March--and the more I research Young, the more I think, after his pro day, people will start favoring him, Most of the "experts" on NFL network, including a former GM Marc Ross who is firm about it...SO CONFUSED--either might be OK, but if one fails and one succeeds, it will haunt us forever....Unless we take Levis. Then we need the suicide hotline.
  4. I agree, and think this is a step in the right direction. They do not hang banners in March, as you know, but the feeling of optimism is something we have not experienced in a while. I admit, I felt optimistic when Rhule was hired, with reservations. As it turns out, he was horrible. I liked Gettlemen at first, but then he started sucking. So now we have a new GM who is once again tasked with overcoming Hurney's bad choices and can kicking. However, with not much cap room, we found 6 (and counting) starters, if you include Bozeman. That is huge.
  5. He did violate the policy on personal attacks and there was no intervention for 11 hours...I defended myself as the target.
  6. If you need to make a personal statement to me, would you send me a PM? Thanks
  7. Made me laugh. This troll wants to talk about being current and he has Cam in his username.
  8. What the hell do you know about it? You accuse me of being stuck in the last century when you start babbling about stuff "centuries older than this country" and then you mention "hypocritical viewpoints?" Then you feel qualified to evaluate me as if you are some therapist or something? So you attack opinions (personally) that do not agree with your own (as misguided and juvenile as they are) and you pretend to perch alongside the high road of reason and morality? Please do not talk to others about hypocrisy while being a hypocrite. Informed readers see that it makes a statement about you more than anyone else. And about the booster comment and "drug use." I was not speaking of 'drug use." Let me tell you about opinions, you sage of ancient forms of spiritual meditation, mine is base on fact--yours is based on some google search that landed on some crackhead's blog. He did say he was 90% leaning toward retirement. Now my opinion is that I am not giving that guy $60m per year to QB my team and I do not think 4 days without a nightlight changes that. This just in: I do not care what you think about it. You are a common troll who professes to have life figured out by analyzing people using fake names on a football discussion board. How petty and insecure must you be?
  9. If we are not looking to trade a player or two for a WR, we could enter the draft with 2 things in mind--draft a QB in round 1, and then trade #39 and other picks to move back up into the end of the first round to grab a WR falling.
  10. I think Dalton is the kind of player who can come in and not kill you, lots of starting experience. Good mentor.
  11. A WR and we are ready for the draft.
  12. Value is right. No huge contracts--all in the 6-8 million range for 3/4 years--except Dalton.
  13. Historically, on the first day of free agency, (and the tampering period) contracts have been huge. However, this year, Fitterer has gotten early bargains, imo. Side NOTE: NFL Network thinks the only news today is based on an Aaron Rodgers Zoom. Man they need focus. All day long--Rodgers. nobody wants that all day long--that is like having a turd as your screen saver.
  14. You called it first but we were both all over it.
  15. Rhule did the same thing when he was hired...Except instead of pulling players from NFL rosters that were recommended by NFL position coaches, he went after NFL players who played for him at Temple or Baylor. Slight difference.
  16. We are seeing the result of hiring well-respected coaches. A few of these players were lured here by their coaches.
  17. If this guy and Tuttle are our starting DEs, Bell is our staring S On offense, Miles Sanders starts at RB, Bozeman starts at C, and Hurst starts at TE. We have not added a WR or two, and Fitterer has already upgraded 6/22 positions. Once he signs a WR and we draft a QB, in one year we will have upgraded 8/22 starting positions. That is over 36% of the starters. In addition, you put Burns and Chinn in position to be more effective.
  18. As a starter, yes. However, on passing downs, he can rush the passer from the 5t (subbing for Tuttle or Williams). That is my speculation
  19. He did not get 1200 yards running sideways.
  20. That is pretty good--I was thinking he'd make about $6-7m per.
  21. 6 starters and the best mentor/backup QB in the NFL. We gotta sign a WR--so you have to think there is at least 1 more.
  22. Never trust a 48 year old man who spikes his hair with gel so he looks like Vanilla Ice.
  23. If you look at Spotrac, all of our signings are slated to make no more than about $3m. So, that means we have spent about $17m toward the cap. I think. I don't consider myself an expert--I just tried to figure out the site.
