  1. Taylor has been playing lights out. Throw in Horn and Henderson (I do not think he is a bust), you keep Reddick and don't look back. (Hartsfield has been solid as well)
  2. This group of Huddlers was gloom and doom for the past month and probably rightly so--how did a good game by the OL and 9 plays from Cam change that? Now we are talking playoffs--what a roller coaster of emotion most Huddlers willingly board. It is like watching a crying baby suddenly start laughing because someone makes a funny face.
  3. Here is what I think, and it is not "drunk friend at party telling you how special you are" stuff (as most of these posts are right now). Cam made an impact. He is 32. What he did was not a demonstration of a starting QB--it was Taysom Hillish. I need to see more. I was excited, but the emotion he brought is not sustainable. It needs to convert to solid play. I want to think it will, but I have not seen enough. Nor have you. PJ Walker was much better than Darnold. Good news. However, he is not the answer and we all know it. There is nothing (right now) that tells me more than Cam was to save this season, and nothing more. If he plays well, sure, he could be given a 2-year deal, but you don't see many 34-year old Running QBs, so his value will not be $30m+. He will want that, in my opinion. We need to remain focused on finding the long term QB of the future--soon if not now.
  4. we better hope Elf is better at C because Paradis will never play another snap here and Elf has 2 years left on his contract after this season. What a nice thought that we do not have to find a C in free agency or the draft (a starter would take the first rounder, imo). And if Cam is decent to good, we can finally use the #1 pick on a LT.
  5. Cam was in on about 8 plays. CMC was awesome--we just expect it. Elflein should get some consideration. Not kidding.
  6. The oline was decent today. PJ got rid of the ball. Sam was unsure of his reads and made the last 3 or 4 weeks hard to watch.
  7. This made Cam Happen I do not know what this means, but it is consistent with the rest of the thread
  8. Love to see him fully recovered where we will feel good giving him a 2-3 year deal. Give us time to build the OL and bring in a QB in 2023.
  9. Here are some facts that people are forgetting: 1. Cam lost a starting position to the fourth rookie QB taken in the draft. 2. Cam seemed to have throwing issues and was incapable of hitting the deep ball. 3. Cam was not picked up for a half season. Cam has 8 games to show the world he can still play. That is where we are. Forget 2015---forget 2017, the last good year he had. Lets pull and pray for Cam to be fully recovered and back to some resemblance of his former self.
  10. We still have that tradition-- hard to do after a field goal.
  11. Are those MOM jeans? Man knows how to take a fashion risk.
  12. That is right-my bad. He is a W machine. Seriously, the preseason made me wonder just how many college QBs could play better.
  13. Call me crazy, but I want to see James Morgan. I have seen what Walker can do.
  14. I would be ashamed to return to the huddle
  15. The QB coach needs to be spending time with Darnold on the sideline.
  16. LT: When the former college C and professional backup G went down, we replaced him with Offensive G Daley. LG: A good run blocker, Jordan is famous for being the guy in Cincinnati who whiffed on the block that led to the Burrow injury that ended his season in 2020--and he is named after a successful basketball player. C:When Paradis went down with yet another injury, the Panthers resorted to a Baylor Bear who was not pursuing an NFL career until Rhule convinced him to join the Panthers. A practice squad player turned active roster by default. Remember, Elflein has experience at C and I think he was active. (not sure) RG: A backup T. So we had a G playing LT and a LT playing RG. And everyone was OK with that? RT: Moton. Any questions?
  17. Y'all leave Darnold alone---if you had a "waist up" shot you would have seen that he was cutting onions for a trick play later.
  18. Good question. We all were stunned by the moves, I recall.
  19. Can I be the first to remind everyone that Fitterer signed Cam Erving and Pat Elflein to multi-year contracts on the first day of free agency? What the hell was that?
