Apparently wearing a thong makes you a better QB https://x.com/mlfootball/status/1997834727332663344?s=46

y'all made this guy break out Excel

I agree here. Falcons won't lay down. Tampa SHOULD win. However, it is a short week and both teams need this game to be played different ways. Tampa needs to have time to scheme and keep this game fast paced, Atlanta needs this to be a physical heavy run slobberknocker which is more likely to happen with just 3 days. Keep in mind, Raheem should probably be fired tomorrow but won't be because it's a short week, he can save some grace and coach for his job Thursday. I wouldn't be surprised to see him be super aggressive on calls all night. I worry about the Saints as well. I really hope our week of rest to get healthy and realign focus outweighs the risk of us getting lazy again. Hopefully, the last time we played them was a wake up call and they come in motivated and pissed off to prove a point. However, the Saints are having fun shitting on everyone and I would not be surprised if it was a repeat. Somehow I feel us and the Bucs will both find a way to lose.

Evero has been doing some stuff where he lines him up at Edge. I really think he would be a decent run stopping edge (rotational) if he thinned up a bit and worked on his lateral movement.
-
I think it depends on how we respond this week. If the rest gave us an edge when everyone else is fatigued and we respond well, then yes. But we if come out playing like ass and unfocused-no.
-
Somebody reported he’s expected to come back for our game. Idk how long Baker holds on though, he has the shoulder, ankle, oblique, and he was getting hammered today. Im hoping if they lose Thursday and we win Sunday they just collapse and unwind.
-
Dolphins have been kicking people in the ass. Falcons game is 50/50.
-
I’m more worried about the Saints than the Bucs tbh
-
If it were the scenario ( and the Panthers never make anything this easy). I would play starters against Seattle because seeding isn’t set. If they were to beat Seattle you could play for better seeding against Tampa. But you could rest them for that game. Now again, we never make anything this easy.

Hopefully the short week catches up with Tampa and our off week gets us through this New Orleans trap game
-
I know, I was just bringing up a possible path. We win next two, bucs lose next two, its over.
-
So, buy an Atlanta jersey for Thursday night and hope we have our poo together the next two weeks.
-
With Tampa losing to New Orleans today, an easier path opened up. If Tampa loses to Atlanta Thursday night, and we beat the Saints next week, and Tampa the following week it is likely over. Even if Tampa wins the final two and we lose the final two. This scenario would put us at 9-8, 1-1 head to head, but we would be 4-2 in the division to Tampa's 3-3. Obviously, we don't want it to come to that and need to finish strong but that path did open today.

He isn’t in any of the HC conversations this year but he was a couple of years ago. I can see Tepper trying to resign him due to the improvement this season and wanting the 3rd round picks if he gets hired somewhere else. The coaching candidates are weak as hell this year, Evero may think he has a chance at a job or can backfill a DC of a contender if they leave for a HC job. BUT this also gives Dave and Dan an opportunity to bring in their guy, so will be interesting to see.

I had a dream one day last season where I was in my kitchen and looked into the living room and he was on TV coaching the Titans.

David and Derek Carr on the Panthers video
ProcessBlue2 replied to cranky's topic in Carolina Panthers
There was a an NFL Network episode before the draft one year and they invited Mahomes on before the draft and I’m pretty sure David Carr who had been out of the league a while by then out threw Mahomes pre-draft. I don’t remember if it was accuracy or if it was like an arm strength test but I remember being like Damn, this kids arm is horrible.. -

Yes David Carr won us the game in New Orleans and looked completely horrible every start afterwards. I remember going to the Tampa game that year, we were wearing blue- it was horrible. -
Dream scenario for ending out the season
ProcessBlue2 replied to cranky's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’m traveling home today and had some time. I added a lot of data into ChatGPT including: average EPA (offense and defense), statistical averages, efficiency %s, strength of schedule, strength of victories, remaining schedule, etc. To summarize: On average teams following a bye week have a 5-10% increase for EPA per play. Teams with a post- Week 12 bye have a 10-15% increase of EPA per play on average. Teams with a late season bye week on average have a 15% greater chance of victory against opponents than they would have prior to their bye week. I asked to simulate the remaining games and this was the results: Carolina 10-7 Bye @ New Orleans (W 27-14) Vs Tampa Bay (W 23-20) Vs Seattle (L 31-17) @ Tampa Bay (W 17-14) Tampa 9-8 Vs New Orleans (W 27-17) Vs Atlanta (L 27-21) @ Carolina (L 23-20) @ Miami (W 21-14) Vs Carolina (L 17-14) It references Carolina’s higher EPA per play following his the bye week, Tampa’s 3 consecutive divisional games, and apparent linear regression of EPA per play since season start as the reasons. -
Dream scenario for ending out the season
ProcessBlue2 replied to cranky's topic in Carolina Panthers
I forgot Tampa plays next Thursday. Puts them playing 3 divisional games in 14 days. With us coming off a late season bye. -
I think Morgan gets more credit than anyone. Scott was the worst GM by far and Morgan has almost unfuged this team. Canales has been alright, but Morgan has an eye for talent
-
I would love for them to beat Tampa this week and then us beat them next week. I do feel that we will take this game more seriously this time considering last time and how much that loss hurt us.

Dream scenario for ending out the season
ProcessBlue2 replied to cranky's topic in Carolina Panthers
I would love to win the division and then host the Bears or 49ers and beat them here. We could do whatever after that the season would be a major success for us. -
Apparently we have a better strength of victory than Tampa. .471 to .432 So technically if we split with them, finished with the same record, same division record (2-0 and 2-1 now) and same conference record (both 5-3 now) it would come down to that and we would win. This is going to be a weird 4-5 weeks
