Maybe But you have to think the Steelers were willing to part with him for an injury prone Jackson. (This is before Jackson was doing as well as he is this season). They were willing to part with him for that. Wasn't there a bunch of Pittsburgh fans pissed off because he refused to jump on fumbles and stuff? or some other similar issue.

Dennis and Chris had a point on 99.9 The Fan. The trade is a reflection of what the NFL thinks his value is worth. Morgan can't control what other teams are offering. I mean the option is to keep him for him to walk anyways and then we MAYBE get a comp pick for 2026. All you do until then is take reps from Coker and Legette.
-
Somebody will take him and try to fix him. I think he'll be coaching somewhere in 3-4 years though.
-
We probably find a way to win one of our next two games, our defense is starting to get a little healthier. (Probably the Giants). I think we end up beating some team later on that is down on it's luck with injuries or something. (Bucs maybe). Probably finish 3-14.

It's too early. He fixed the OL which we have been waiting 20+ years for. We also found the best young WRs we have had in a long time. His draft this last year is shaping up to be our best one in 5+ seasons. He needs another offseason minimum. If Fitterer can get 3 offseasons so should he.
-
You can also look at it as being an opportunity for Coker and Legette to develop. Johnson would just take reps away.
-
Tillis/Morgan must have been told there was zero chance he resigned in the offseason and/or the dude is just unbearable. If his agent was like "yeah no way he stays here after this season" then yeah I guess get what you can but surely you could have gotten a bit more.

Baltimore's pick is valued at 26 points. Our pick was valued at 21 points. So that's net 5 gain. So we gained the equivalent of a really high 7th round pick

He would start here, unfortunately. And please don't start trying to bring his winded ass to North Carolina.

With the first pick, don't draft a QB? Draft a DE? C'mon!

It needs to be BPA. Generational at any position. I don't care if it's LT- Icky can move his big ass over. -

This is how we ended up with Bryce and the Steelers ended up with Pickett. -

Dan Graziano: Panthers will trade Diontae Johnson

I keep forgetting the Germany game is next week. That's a good point. -
Jaycee Horn post game confrontation with Sean Payton
ProcessBlue2 replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I have a very odd feeling we are about to trade Jaycee. This is the healthiest he has been in a while, he is playing well. I would prefer to keep him if he can stay like this but something tells me Morgan is about to ship him away while his value is high and he is healthy. -
So basically, whatever we get for him is the value we got for Donte Jackson. I could live with trading Donte Jackson for a 3rd. There is just going to have to be a team desperate enough to give up a 3rd for him.

I wonder if Morgan's strategy was to wait up until the deadline on purpose. Drive the price up for the right team that needs a replacement WR. Just about everyone else is moved and looks like Rams are keeping Kupp. I think the Texans just lost Stefon Diggs for the season, maybe there? -
Daniel Jones reminds me a lot of Sam Darnold when he was on the Jets. Daboll was a bit overrated as a OC and Jones was thrown directly in NY sports media his rookie year. I think Jones could be a decent starter with a change of scenery and being able to sit a while. and NO, Charlotte is not the place for that.

Get a Day 2 pick for him. Get a Day 2 or 3 for Bryce. Trade somebody else. Trade down in the 1st round. Add them to the pile, I want 15 draft picks so we can cycle all the garbage from this roster. -
1st drive that was scripted= Good Other 9 drives= Very Bad Last drive in garage time against prevent D=Good Yeah, that's what some people are using to cope.
-
I'm not against him until he gets another offseason with Morgan. Had to start his tenure "fixing Young", defense is historically bad. I need to see him with an QB (vet or rookie) that he actually wants, and whatever he and Morgan do to this defense this year.

Bryce Young will start Sunday vs Broncos
ProcessBlue2 replied to Samppson's topic in Carolina Panthers
Apparently it looks like Plummer will be the back up, they don't think Andy will dress on Sunday per Newton. I wonder if we see Plummer by the 4th Q. -
It's hard for me to exclude the bias of what I would do but I think Morgan would trade back. Possibly like what the Cardinals did a couple of years ago. I don't think they would go out of the Top 8 but I think Morgan would sell. There is just so many holes on this terrible roster, and it's one of the oldest rosters in the league at that. Plus, I think the wound is still sore on rolling the dice for a QB so high. There is not a clear #1 QB in this draft at the moment. Everyone has a different #1 so he probably trades back and goes CB, DL, or WR.

This was one of the worst possible match-ups for him to get his "redemption" game. High altitude, on the road, against the team with the 2nd most sacks and top 5 pass defense? This is going to be so bad. All eyes will be on him too since the media has been pushing to see him again. It's going to fall flat and he's going to lose a ton of value.
