  1. Investments are, by definition, a profit or loss venture. As long as there is inventory, they are not a profitable venture. There is no reason for me to pay a premium to Mr. Smith for PSLs when I can buy the ones next to him from the organization. Absolutely correct. Exactly why I decided to let mine go several years back. After 17 years, I just felt the product was not worth the price, the time (travel & game time), expenses, etc. I got my initial buy-in back and a couple bucks extra because I'd sold some individual game tickets to the buyer over the previous couple years.
  2. I watched an all-time low 4 games this year. You know what, I don't feel like I missed anything.
  3. I watched the LA v 49ers game. 2 decent teams in a game with meaning. Glazer just said Rhule has to hire a rock star OC to keep his job. LO fugging L.
  4. Trocheck has disappeared and he took Necas with him. Those guys gotta contribute.
  5. Canes were gassed and RBA took a big chance putting that overworked line out there 3 on 3. It didn't work.
  6. Just getting tonite off after facing a ton of shots last night. He'll be in net Tues against the Flyers
  7. 3-2, but Florida clearly the better team tonight. Cannon by Brady with Lorentz in front.
  8. Unless they make a couple adjustments, I'm not confident they can pull this out.
  9. Beauty by TT. Walked it right Inside the dots. Who's the backup goalie tonite?
  10. That was too easy. Lyon and the Canes might get rocked tonight.
  11. Defense stepped up as well. Calgary only has a handful of shots this period. 21-7 shots in the 2nd.
  12. I think this team is so much better with KK at center, although the Staal line has been a beast of late. Problem is, Stepan doesn't play the wing, so the Canes would have to wait for Martinook's return before they could give the kid a shot at center for any length of time.
  13. Bill Murray may have something to say about that..... every..... single...... day.......
  14. Except that the only known red wolves left are in Eastern NC and there are more of them alive in captive protection than living in the wild. They are an endangered species and will likely be extinct within our lifetime. https://weilerwoodsforwildlife.com/red-wolf-facts/ They are the most endangered wolf in the world. As of December 2021, there are less than 20 left in the wild. They mate for life and have one litter of pups a year. Often one litter will help their parents care for the next, younger group of pups. Red wolves are great parents and will even care for another wolf’s babies, given the chance. Also, they are very shy and don’t want to be around you or your house. It is very rare you will ever encounter one. Red wolves weigh between 45 and 80 pounds. They are smaller than a gray wolf but larger than a coyote. All wolves, including red wolves, help keep coyotes out of the area where they live. They are the apex predator and will run out or kill coyotes entering their territories.
  15. Grohl is a good guy and I think he's probably done more and been more meaningful to the music scene in general than Nirvana ever was, but somehow Cobain... never mind. All that said, Foo Fighters closed the show at the Rock Hall Induction this year. We were in the audience and it was not good. Maybe the moment brought on too much adrenaline or... but Grohl was just screaming at the top of his lungs and most of the attendees couldn't even figure out what song he was doing. It was a little better when McCartney came out and did "Get Back" with them, but it wasn't good at all. I need to watch it back on HBO and see if TV editing improved the sound quality.
  16. Likely as dull, boring and highly partisan broadcasting skills.
  17. The Panthers have never been shy in their admiration of the Steelers and have always been very public in their claim to want to be a version of that organization. The sheer irony of all that is the Steelers have built every generation of their roster going back to Terry Bradshaw's days on an offensive line. They've always had O-linemen playing together for years and while they lost one or two along the way, they have never been forced to make wholesale changes to their O-line for any reason other than injuries. Ben Rothliesberger has all the mobility of a pile of bricks and, in my opinion, he's an average QB. But his longevity and success are all testament to what commitment to building and keeping an O-line should be.
  18. So, I watched the first 2 periods and had to get on the road for the coast, but listened on the way down the road. I just got back home, turned on YouTube and watched the last period. Wow. Just fugging wow. I'm just gonna leave this alone.
