  1. And given Philadelphia has already publicly committed to Jalen Hurts as their guy... https://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2022/01/19/jalen-hurts-eagles-starting-quarterback-nick-sirianni-howie-roseman/ PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Jalen Hurts has shown the Eagles enough to come back as their starter in 2022, at least that is what general manager Howie Roseman and head coach Nick Sirianni said Wednesday. Time will tell if Hurts comes back as the team’s clear-cut No. 1 QB, or if Roseman brings in another quarterback to compete with the third-year signal-caller or even acquires an established star, but as it stands three days after the Birds’ season ended in Tampa, the 23-year-old is in the team’s plans for 2022.
  2. This is going to come back at some point and the league will say, "Remember when you only played 3 games in 3 weeks back in January?" They do have 2 3-day breaks in March, though. Mar 6 at home v. Seattle - Mar 10 at home v. Colorado Mar 13 @ Pittsburgh - Mar 17 @ Toronto But then they have to fly home and play Washington on Mar 18. That's just bad schedule writing there. Kinda like this weekend when they play the Rangers tomorrow night then fly to NJ for a Saturday night game.
  3. The Canes were originally scheduled to play 2 games in February, both at home on 2/25 and 2/27. For some reason, the league thought it would be a good idea to reschedule the Canes final game of the season at Pittsburgh to February 20 and create a back-to-back @ Pittsburgh and Philly the next day. Thanks for that. Hurricanes’ revised February schedule Feb. 7 — at Toronto (initially set Jan. 3), 7 pm. Feb. 8 — at Ottawa (Dec. 23), 7 pm. Feb. 10 — at Boston (Dec. 21), 7 pm. Feb. 12 — at Minnesota (Dec. 14), 7 pm. Feb. 16 — Florida (Dec. 27), 7:30 pm. Feb. 18 — Nashville (Dec. 19), 7 pm. Feb. 20 — at Pittsburgh (April 29), 1 pm. Feb. 21 — at Philadelphia (Jan. 11), 3 pm Feb. 25 — Columbus, 7 pm. Feb. 27 — Edmonton, 1 pm.
  4. Saw some Hartford green on the tube last night, although the place appears unusually dark and you can't really see the crowd.
  5. They most certainly did. No rat sightings last night...
  6. This is as close to the garage as I get. Wife keeps either her Lexus or Benz in there. I have my own workshop out back.
  7. So.... about last night.... Jacob Slavin should be given a game or 2 off more often if this is how he comes back. See what happens when KK is moved to center? There was a level of physicality against this Bruins team that has been missing the past couple seasons. Was good to see, but needs to be addressed in the bigger picture because it did put the Canes in the PK more than once. I guess rats will run & hide when there's a hurricane blowing into town.
  8. 20 minutes of Hurricanes hockey is better than 3 months of Panther football.
  9. Boston can't score, so they fight. Go 4-1 on this PP and they're in good shape.
  10. And they didn't remove the Cowboy-itis?
  11. No ref interference. The umpire is required by rule to spot the ball between each play.
  12. NFL pulling out all the stops to keep Dallas alive
  13. Dallas losing, New England got curb-stomped and hoping Steelers get killed later. If only the Bucs had lost.
  14. Smith stepped up big- several solid hits. Martinook looks good coming back.
  15. The Canes pressure the puck on the PK like no team I've ever seen.
  16. Wow, Horvath goes after Svech, who responds and they're calling both?
  17. Hey, Harbingers, maybe just us today? Anyone else out there?
  18. Checking in, boys. Missed the 1st period, but got home in time to catch the start of the 2nd. Good to see the chemistry back. The Trocheck doorstep goal and Martin's birthday bullet off the top bar.
  19. That's not so good either. Last I checked, the Canes are slower than usual out of the gate for day games.
  20. Again, 3 games in 3 weeks. I don't care how much you practice, it doesn't make up for the real thing. They'll probably skate later today and tomorrow morning. Let's hope they start to get their rhythm back. They have a tough stretch of games coming and can't be sleepwalking thru them.
  21. It's nice to have offensive contributions from the blue line, but Skjei's recent streak, TDA having success and Bear finally getting a goal, these guys are simply jumping into the zone too often and too soon. Quick outlet passes and stretch passes are killing these guys. Let's get real, this was the same Columbus team they saw a couple weeks ago, they didn't play any different, yet look at the end result.
