Early 2nd round on the BUCS. Keep betting on those 5'11" QBs. It's a big boy position. Prototypes exist for a reason. -

Romeo Doubs and Cole Turner need to be looked at too. -

Carson is showing that he has the mental aspects necessary to be great in the NFL. The more I look into the kid the more I like him. That arm IS a huge bonus that makes him worthy of being the first QB picked, along with youth. -

Cams running ability hindered his early development as a NFL QB. You see him now actually go through all his reads 4-5 at times before reacting. Carson is relying on his arm to make his plays from the beginning. He's coming back from the knee so I'm sure his mobility will increase as time goes forward. Maybe high risk at 6, but a MUCH MUCH MUCH better pick at 6 than old Pickett. Younger, more upside, height, arm etc. -

Reminds me of how they thought Drew Brees was finished after his shoulder surgery. He scrambles well in the pocket to buy time. Do you guys consider being immobile not taking off running? This guy is still mobile inside the pocket. I don't see the issue with not taking off running at the QB position. Just drop those dimes. He's done that. -

For all our failed gambles, this guy would be the ultimate moderate risk high reward prospect even at 6. He already reading and checking on his own. The IQ is there. He leads that offense he's changing plays and taking advantage. He has NFL height(6'4") weight, arm strength. Ops last video the guy proclaims Strong has the best deep ball in this class. I agree. It's effortless for him. This team has done a lot of stupid stuff. Taking Strong, a potential prototype franchise QB who checks all the boxes at a young age as a JUNIOR wouldn't be the dumbest thing. That rookie contract could be gold on that guy. -

You are completely and totally correct. He's the one guy (if not for the injury) who should be a first rounder in this weak QB class. -
FOX Sports Upstate: Darin Gantt interview (2/17)

Instead of picking up the torch of a great man they want to replace his memory and his legacy with their own image. Their incompetent, flailing, non-football knowing or playing image. Whomever had that idea, may your poo flow like water forever! KEEP POUNDING! -
Breer: Panthers "between a rock and a hard place" at quarterback
rippadonn replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Why is the Panther bot here then Scot? They care like a m'f. When the team store can't sell a damn thing because there is no star, they give a damn. For all the Cam hate I can't understand the desire for some people to suffer through things to gain anything. I or anybody who suggest Cam Newton return again have a better and more valid point than most. Cam was a star on a weak New England roster but a focal point for better or worse while they reloaded after TB. He wasn't washed up like you and the organization thought. As a matter of fact he still looks good and to me, and as someone who has watched him his whole career in Carolina, he seems to be a better QB than when he left here. More mature. I saw him go through 4-5 reads at times. He didn't have that processing speed when he was here. Still has a great arm. They and you said he was washed up. I'm glad he continues to make you doubters look foolish whether that be in a Panther uniform or another like the Commanders who could give him a look if we don't. If we'd rather watch one of the best to ever do it, it's better and much more entertaining than the sht show the turn over the apple cart crowd has banged their drums for throughout Cams tenure. -

Cam was here. Yes it did. I'm more into the future at QB but at present they're f'd and if free agents can choose are they choosing Rhule?! No. Slim pickings as an official bottom feeding organization under Tepper. No cap space either for a superstar. This community has a HUGE impact on what the team does as I said, last season was the example. Sorry you didn't see the reunion. -
Rock and a hard place.... Deepest QB draft in a decade last year and now we're thirsty because dumbass did the total opposite of what he was supposed to do last draft.

It worked last season. It was a movement. My advice is whatever fans decide, hammer it home. They ARE listening. -
Was Rhule forced by Tepper to hire experienced coaches?
rippadonn replied to mc52beast's topic in Carolina Panthers
That 3-4 foolishness needs to stop. Hiring a guy you have to micromanage into doing his job is insanity. Suck it up and fire the dude buttercup. -
I'll add this. Jordan needs to buy out that Puma contract LaMelo signed. Putting LaMelo in Jordans?!? That should be Unc's top priority. The sales. The sales!

Name something specific that would get you pumped for this season

Sam would actually be a great backup for Cam. If one goes down you still have a chance. -

Question is, is 2022 Cam better than our benchmark Jake Delhomme? Yes. Everybody else does their job Cam is more than serviceable moreso than Sam and that's obvious. He's instantly the alpha dog you need in the fight. Sorry, but I disagree. No he's not 2015 Cam but sometimes he is that athlete he showed that. He's a older and smarter QB having trained in New England. He's proven he's healthy and can still play on short notice and can still sling it. Some of you guys will always doubt Cam, that hasn't changed but he's still, from what he came and did on the field with very little practice outshining and outclassing Sam and is fully capable of destroying him in camp. -

A total commitment to WINNING instead of "building". If they do things in the off-season that have me CONVINCED that they're trying to win at least every other season like Jerry Richardson, remember one step forward two steps back Jerry. We were mad back then with JRs strategy but in comparison we were spoiled with early success and two Superbowl appearances as a young 25yr old franchise. Go hard on the Oline, bring in Cam/Sam, get another pick by trade to go after Carson Strong to sit behind Cam until he is ready for the sunset, because we f'n love and respect our greats. Get a big power RB and put McCaffrey in the slot and get a FA TE because Cam and McAdoo love good/great TEs. Do all that I'll be convinced they're trying. Go back to 4-3 and stop the 3-4 foolishness. Get somebody to put next to D.Brown. -
Some of us here...ehm...ripp...and others said on this here site BEFORE LaMelo played a game as a Hornet that we either had Sean Livingston or Magic Johnson. Either way we picked a good/great 6'7" PG. Big Kendrick Perkins had it correct a long time ago too... Everybody in the organization needs to stop the wondering and start the Bee-lieving because this IS LaMelos Hornets, believe it or not.

Yeah, we as day one Panthers fans have seen expansion football, we've seen playoffs, we've seen Superbowls. We are a somewhat sophisticated fan base because we've seen the high and low and we understand why and how. Having been a Panthers fan so long "building" is an insult to our collective intelligence. We know in the professional NFL you basically build a team to win or lose every off-season. You lose on purpose in the off-season or win on purpose in the off-season everybody can see it. If you can't drive the car you can't drive the car, who built it is irrelevant.

Chud was our most creative OC. Don't know what that says about our offenses but it's true.

Offseason finally here. Let's get down to business.
rippadonn replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
You obviously don't see him struggling hopelessly. Throwing guys under the bus on his way down. His Baylor/Temple(tweener, overachievers not elite players not elite coaches) love affair that has lead to a weak roster? We do. But whatevs. -

Last draft was a QB deep draft but we surprised them!
