Its more because we fed him the ball over the last 5 years, I can't remember many times were DJ simply took over a game, if at all. I think he's a possession receiver, like jarvis landry. Nice player to have, but someone you aren't sad if you trade. Trading for Hopkins would make this a much, much better WR unit.

I feel like you can't go wrong with either of them I also feel if we had Young or Stroud last season, despite being in college, we would have made the playoffs...they are that much better than Mayfield, PJ and Darnold, even as rookies Bears fans are rejoicing that they might get another top 5 pick... I don't think so....Stroud and Young are way better QB's that we had last year and we finished 9th worst.

Carl is really upset becuase he wanted Darnold to get another chance

So... Common Sense Says We're Drafting Stroud... Right????
amcoolio replied to tukafan21's topic in Carolina Panthers
Need to spy on the Texans to see who they want, and trade down to 2 and get a 2nd rounder back. I think both Young and Stroud are slam dunks. -
DJ Moore is Kobe? More like DJ Moore is Detlef Schrempf

I think DJ is overvalued here. Ideally, he's a above average #2 WR. Like Tee Higgins territory. Would not be surprised to see him struggle in Chicago. This is a great trade. We finally have a direction, and Young and Stroud are both special talents. We had to go get one of them.

Good (or even average) quarterbacks don't have this statline 5-of-15 passes for 43 yards with two interceptions and a 2.8 passer rating In a dome game, and this was the last time we saw him. NO

Charlie Campbell: Panthers love Bijan Robinson

I'd trade up back into the 1st for him, if we don't trade our assets for a QB This team needs playmakers -
S2 Cognitive test points to NFL Success

I figure that Young and Stroud are both high performers of this test It will be very sad if we don't get either of them -
Don't mind it actually, I don't think our O-Line is as strong as you guys think. I also think Moton is candidate for regression. Also Corbett won't play any of training camp with the ACL tear. Christiansen can move to RG, and this guy at LG. If offensive line is the best position on the board, then so be it

PFF - What would it take for Panthers to trade up for #1 pick
amcoolio replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Huddlers: We need a franchise QB Huddlers: Also don't trade up, don't take Levis or Richardson, don't sign Carr, don't trade for Lamar/Rodgers -
Carr is the best option if it takes 3+ first round picks for Stroud, Young, Lamar, or Rodgers This staff isn't taking Levis or Richardson...they want to win now

Quarterbacks win championships
amcoolio replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I love that people like to attack posters intelligence on here for having a different opinion. Totally not like anyone to be completely wrong on here before but ignore it and pretend like it never happened.... Everyone knows Darnold has all the physical tools. Darnold's mental deficiencies aren't fixable. He panics. He holds on to the ball a half second more than he needs to. He doesn't trust himself. There is no possible way you can tell me that Darnold could play in that game last night. He couldn't even play in week 18 in a meaningless game....he panicked all over himself to the tune of 5 completed passes...in a dome! Look, Sam is a nice guy. I get that you want to see him succeed. But even if he had a super staff of the Eagles and Chiefs offensive gurus combined, it is very unlikely he could be fixed. The Eagles and Chiefs dropped their dead weight quarterbacks before Mahomes and Hurts, so they see stuff like this too. THE #1 TRAIT you need in a quarterback, beyond all else, is composure. 2nd is will to win. Darnold has neither. We don't need to subject ourselves to settle for subpar quarterbacking. Enough with the excuses for Sam, and enough with the putting down posters on here who want to be rid of Sam. -

Two former panthers decided the game and a former panther called it and mentioned us at the game winning kick

ESPN reported the Colts are hiring Steichen

I will never understand the strive for mediocrity on this board Sam's mental issues suddenly won't go away in his 6th year. He's a bottom 10 QB. He only could barely complete 5 passes in a dome game the last game we saw him. For fugs sake, move on from Sam and pretend he doesn't exist

Panthers hire Josh McCown as QB coach
amcoolio replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Darnold 5/15 43 yards 2 INT in a dome in a meaningless game Nope, get out of here -
But you know you are getting a good QB with Rodgers/Jackson, whereas there's a chance Stroud/Young can bust...that would be the tradeoff in terms of similar costs I have been on the Stroud train for a while, and I hope that's the move, but it would be unsurprising to see the Panthers jumping at Lamar (and Rodgers if he wants to come here) because they can win the division immediately if they make that move...the other 3 teams are bad

Unpopular opinion Carolina will weigh the cost of trading up, but also Aaron Rodgers or Lamar Jackson trades, and I think there is a great chance they pick Rodgers or Jackson trade if it is a similar cost
