  1. Maybe it’s because Stroud’s weren’t worried about being decapitated by high balls or knocked out by the tight ones in traffic or being led into hospital balls be that as it may, we shall soon see the new and improved team with Young leading to come from victory …or perhaps, egads, score more than 7 points throwing. yeah, I’m bitter
  2. Wins 5.0 Carolina Panthers Win Total: under 5.5 (-165) Make Playoffs: +800 Win Division: +1300 Win Conference: +12500 Win Super Bowl: +25000 Panthers' complete 2024 NFL schedule The Panthers clearly -- and rightfully -- set out to help Bryce Young this offseason. In free agency, they shelled out more than $150 million on a pair of guards, Robert Hunt and Damien Lewis. Makes plenty of sense, considering last year's No. 1 overall pick took the second-most sacks (62) of any quarterback in 2023 and generally struggled to produce offense. Carolina also traded for a veteran receiver who can separate (Diontae Johnson) and then drafted explosive playmakers at wideout (Xavier Legette), running back (Jonathan Brooks) and tight end (Ja'Tavion Sanders). The hardest four-game stretch for the Panthers takes place in Weeks 12 through 15: vs. Kansas City, vs. Tampa Bay, at Philadelphia, vs. Dallas. The good news is that comes directly after their bye in Week 11.
  3. A write up on Panthers schedule from NFL.COM Carolina Panthers 2023 RECORD: 2-15 · NFC SOUTH: 4TH Carolina Panthers' complete 2024 NFL schedule Strength of schedule: .467 (T-29) Bye: Week 11 Three marquee matchups: Week 5: at Chicago Bears, 1 p.m. ET on FOX Week 10: vs. New York Giants, 9:30 a.m. ET on NFL Network (Munich) Week 12: vs. Kansas City Chiefs, 1 p.m. ET on CBS Biggest takeaways: Bryce Young takes on Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and Bo Nix within four weeks. The NFL clumped together the rookie quarterbacks on the Panthers' slate in 2024. Young takes on the Bears' Williams in Week 5, the Commanders' Daniels in Week 7 and the Broncos' Nix in Week 8, giving us an on-field comparison of where the 2023 No. 1 overall pick stands in his development versus some of this year's crop. Heck, if something happens in Atlanta and Michael Penix is in the saddle by Week 6, Young could square off against four consecutive rookie QBs. Not only does the stretch give us a chance to see Young against his peers, but it also gives the Panthers a chance to make some hay against other rebuilding clubs, potentially. Brutal stretch to close the season. New coach Dave Canales' club had better get off to a hot start, because the end of the campaign looks rough on paper. Coming out of a Week 11 bye, the Panthers play five of their final seven games against 2023 playoff teams, starting with Kansas City, Tampa Bay, Philadelphia and Dallas in consecutive weeks. That's a ruthless stretch for a young team hoping to gain momentum looking toward 2025 and Year 2 of a new regime. But if the Panthers come out with positive results, it will be clear that Canales has built a solid foundation. Shut out of prime time. The Panthers are the lone club without a single prime-time game on the docket for 2024. Carolina's one standalone match comes against the New York Giants in Germany, where they'll meet former Panther Brian Burns, a first-round pick in 2019 who was traded away this offseason. It's a bummer not to have any prime-time games, but we can spin this positively. Canales' young bunch has the opportunity to grow outside the limelight and pressure that comes with those night tilts. Learning to win is a big part of developing in the NFL. If Carolina can string together a bunch of Sunday afternoon victories, there will always be flex options for the league later in the campaign. -- Kevin Patra
  4. My concern is he iffers zero threat with his legs either he isnt exactly nifty in the backfield or at breaking tackles i want to believe. I really really do but i just cant see how
  5. Is that based on yards attempted on the throw. Young wasn’t exactly a yardage thrower
  6. For many, it isn't obvious Everyone is to blame, including a rookie WR, for the accurate QB being inaccurate Young, like every qb in the NFL, misses plays but when the plays are there, he missed far too many I assure all that the new HC is aware of this stat no natter what is said publicly
  7. Tweet Shared on CatCrave Qb1 has to do much better When plays are there, he has to make them when it was asked on here what Young has to do to win fans over, I begin here Mingo isnt the only one impacted
  8. Depressing totally depressing bright spot is if he flames at least there is a base of a team in place gotta say, I keep hoping he is at least serviceable for a year or two but who knows
  9. His answers are intelligent …not coach speak it will be interesting to see how he evolves in the coming weeks of regular season
  10. Fans of this team have earned, through misery endured, the right to see a decent team play in that stadium
  11. Press conference by Coach just ended Young man’s demeanor, approach and knowledge is impressive I hope it translates I get the feeling he knows exactly what he wants and if the player doesn’t respond to coaching, the player won’t be here long
  12. I don’t enjoy being miserable and worse yet paying to be He has one year. He showed very, very little…even when he could…or …of even knowing how to play the position in the NFL not his fault the Panthers were idiots …but this is a multimillion $ business and the current roster has been rebuilt for him and the past rosters destroyed to draft him this ain’t Mater Dei and it ain’t Bama Production not participation matters here he needs to average 2 to 3 passing TDs a game, when it matters not in cleanup and he needs to actually win games with his leadership
  13. The Panthers Huddle is usually just propaganda …this one was actually good im feeling good about the Morgan and Canales marriage the proof is ‘in the pudding’ however …and have to remember a first time head coach and players who have never played together before but they can’t possibly be worse than last year the wild card to all this, too, is Young I wish I felt better about him but I don’t Morgan says he wants ‘dawgs’ not ‘dogs’ I.e. pit bulls vs poodles…I see young as the latter, not the former Regardless, life is full of surprises…maybe he is a lot more than I see. I’m not a scout or coach
  14. It is a concern but there are 3 more major opportunities to pick up a veteran the panthers had zero playmakers last year. Had to change so many holes. So few draft picks i think Morgan did as a good as possible canales fixed the bucs alignment for mayfield. Ill give him the benefit of yhe doubt
  15. He really is a tough guy on the field folks on here gotta have soon fun now and again i hope Young can be all he is supposed to be…no one wins if he fails…he gets his shot this year…but if not, let’s not waste the time trying to make him be something he can’t be
  16. Posting Just for laughs….or, maybe not “The Carolina Panthers weren’t on the list of Deion Sanders’ preferred landing spots for his son Shedeur. But that didn’t stop CBS Sports writer Ryan Wilson from already projecting the University of Colorado star to the Queen City—and with next year’s No. 1 overall pick, no less. Wilson, in his “way-too-early” 2025 mock draft, explains that a new quarterback may be on the horizon if the Panthers finish with the league’s worst record for the second year in a row: If nothing else, using the betting odds means that, for the third straight year, the Panthers have the No. 1 overall pick. Hopefully first-year coach Dave Canales can get the most out of Bryce Young, but if that doesn’t happen … you’d have to imagine quarterback at No. 1 (for the second time in three drafts for Carolina) will be a talking point. And with that pick, Wilson sends Sanders to Carolina: Shedeur Sanders made huge strides in his first year as an FBS QB and he’ll be in the conversation with several other players to be the first quarterback drafted. Sanders completed 69.3 percent of his passes for 3,230 yards, 27 touchdowns and just three interceptions in 2023”
  17. Heard or read somewhere that the staff is also looking at Brady C as the backup center and that he was taking some snaps
  18. Ask Zack Wilson, Mack Jones, Sam Darnold, and a plethora of other QBs in the league the team, and the grown men who play to get paid on it, depend on hitting personnel incentives and team incentives …much driven by qb performance this is a business…perform or be gone the fans do play part in it as they will not pay to see incompetence…over and over and over again. fair or not, and we know life isn’t fair, production is expected from what is typically the highest paid position on the field don't know about you but I have no more fugs to give with young Time for participation trophies is over
  19. The coach has a system he evaluated the current roster and you see all the changes made …his picks are to allow him to execute his system…the Gm is making those picks it isn’t to please 1. Those who think he isn’t running a modern system 2. the mock draft people 3 or the talking heads He evaluated the team and said with action what we all know…there is zero offensive skilled talent on this team…zero….plus a qb not exactly skilled in long passes…don’t think he doesn’t know that …and oline pieces that were a mish mash what would you have him do….go vertical…without a qb to support it…go all receivers with the same qb who can’t get the ball to them …let’s be real here Young is neither mahomes or Allen if young falls, he will be shelved after year 2 and at least the foundation will be set for the ‘modern offense’
  20. Well….ill take you back to the Rhule years where RAS was all there was there are football players and there are test takers (physical and otherwise) …but you know what doesn’t lie, tape.
