  1. Pass on any and all QB trades unless it's moving up in the draft for one the team is sold on. Trying to take shortcuts hasn't worked out too well for the Panthers. Just draft a rookie and take your lumps.
  2. Ball can't play defense at all. Then again, the rest of the team can't either.
  3. I'd rather use every draft pick for the next three years on QBs than trade for or pick up Lance.
  4. The Boston fans are so much louder than the home crowd. It's terrible.
  5. For me it would be the Cowboys and it's probably due to the whole "America's team" nonsense and Jones.
  6. Kentucky and Tenn had a good game earlier. UNC has been spanking Louisville all game and has started putting in the backups with 3 minutes to go.
  7. I never thought Corral was the answer. I wanted him to start to see if he was worth developing or if he could be the tank commander. It was a win-win to me.
  8. Looks like Waynesville and Bryson City only got an inch or so.
  9. This is a bad take. Every year the QB class losses the shine it had the year before as people pay more attention to the current crop. Now there is NIL money involved and extra years from COVID, so some guys are staying in school to get the easier money, and in some cases(non round one guys), more money than a rookie contract would pay them. Most, if not all, of the people that wanted to tank didn't go into the season saying throw it away, they waited until they saw that the team and division were trash before deciding it would be better to tank for one of this year's QBs(Young, Stroud, Levis, Richardson). Nobody in their right mind wants to keep wasting years to get a QB and start winning again.
  10. #1 is between him and Maye. I'd give the advantage to Williams since he's won the Heisman and goes to the bigger football school.
  11. I doubt he's sad about it too. As long as NIL is a thing, we'll see more athletes(male and female) staying in school or transferring from school to school in pursuit of the cash in every sport.
  12. You have a good point. It doesn't help when a city, like Asheville, constantly advertises in larger out of state markets and then those people move into the city and try to make it more like where they left.
  13. That's what happens when the town only cares about tourist money. Most of the towns in WNC feel like they're chasing that same wagon instead of trying to build a good economic base.
  14. Yeah. Most of what I've seen is people getting priced out more so than those wanting to live in a smaller town.
  15. You're getting Asheville refugees. All the rich and out of state work from home sorts have forced out the working stiffs.
  16. Playing football is a gamble in the first place. And yeah, that's a lot of money, but it still isn't close to what he would get as a top ten pick. This past first round picks' contracts. The top 11 guys got at least 5 mil a year.
  17. I wouldn't blame him for staying either, especially with him being paid to do so. OSU would be the odds on favorite to win the title if he returns. That said, I don't know how that would effect his draft stock, especially if Williams and Maye play well and declare for the draft.
