  1. But that is the plan. Gotta get more picks to churn the bottom of the roster. That or take Pickett at 6 since he went to Tepper's alma mater.
  2. Gotta get much better defensively if that's going to happen. That said, the potential is there.
  3. Cam, Teddy, Sam, Cam, Sam, with some PJ thrown in for good measure. His choice in versatile O-linemen instead of actual good single position players. Hiring Brady to impress Tepper instead of picking a more known name or someone that would do what he wanted. Extending and bringing in his college kids even if they hadn't earned it. Lack of adjustments during games. The two year third quarter woes. Those are just some of his mistakes. I only trust for Rhule to make things worse, not better. Fitt is either a yes man or not good at his job based off what has happened so far. Haha. Did you watch how the defense got ran over all season? Elite defenses don't get smacked around like that anytime a team runs on them. The question is if the rebuild will be better, about the same, or worse? Nothing Tepper has done leads me to believe Rhule just has this year to right the ship. Darnold is done. He just doesn't have what it takes to be a staring NFL QB. From keeping Marty, to keeping Ron, to letting Marty lead the new coach search. Everything he has done so far has been a mistake that he hasn't been willing to learn from and I don't trust trust that Tepper will make good changes even if he goes in a different direction.
  4. You're holding onto the old way of thinking. People have been complaining about the lack of quality NFL O-linemen more and more each year as the better players have opted for defense where they get better stats and pay. Teams will pay more and draft them higher for any quality O-lineman regardless of position as they have a harder time finding ones.
  5. If it was just the contract, I could see it. But it's also the injury history. With as much time as he's missed, teams aren't going to give up that much for someone they can't depend on to play down the stretch when they'll really need him.
  6. And people here said the Texans were nuts for wanting the three firsts and more they want for Watson. There's no way the Panthers get a first or a first and more for CMC with him missing as many games the last couple years he has.
  7. Eh, if Tepper, Rhule, and Co are high on him as a QB, there's a good chance he'll be a mistake based off who they have signed so far. Picking good QBs does not seem to be a skill they have.
  8. Right. It's not like he can't get stronger or anything. Ryan Kalil was roughly the same size and weight. He wasn't scheme dependent at all. Nobody knows if Linderbaum will be scheme dependent or not until he's drafted and actually plays. As for spending a top 10 pick on him? If I felt he was the best option available, yes, I would do so.
  9. Most of these O-line prospects do not outweigh Linderbaum by a lot. Cross only weighs 307. Shouldn't take him. Ekwonu only weighs 310. He's too small to take too. This "size disadvantage" argument is bull. As you said, this isn't the 70s where these line guys were mostly fat. Teams and players know that being 350 or more is not healthy these days.
  10. Linderbaum also has technique and skill. That helps when facing someone that is heavier than you.
  11. It's truly sad when a man that weighs 291 pounds and is over 6ft tall is considered hella small. Considering a lot, if not most, of that is muscle and not fat, a lot of you metric obsessed guys are underestimating the kid.
  12. You say positional value is a real thing yet also say you would take BPA. If you're going BPA, that player might play at a position that doesn't line up with your positional value. BPA might also not line up with your needs. If a team has a fairly young franchise QB, should they take another QB with their first rounder because he is BPA? I'm not saying drafting for need is the way to go either. Need as well as where you're good at must be considered when drafting.
  13. I don't think I would care as long as the team got a decent return for the better players. As I've said before, there isn't anyone on the roster I wouldn't trade for the right price.
  14. To quote Forest Gump, "Stupid is as stupid does"
  15. Pretty good game and another much needed win.
  16. Martin does it again. He's still not much of a scorer, but he brings the defense when the team needs it.
  17. Kudos to Martin for turning this last 20 seconds or so around.
  18. Seems the lads are letting the Spurs hang around. These games usually don't end well for the home team.
  19. There's still more to explore. Rock bottom will probably be when Tepper finally cans Rhule only to replace him with someone just as bad or worse.
  20. The team has gone from mediocre to bad since Tepper bought it and we might not have reached rock bottom yet. There aren't really any positives fans can point to as good signs either. There's no young QB to be excited about, and the rookie QB it seems the owner and coach want is someone most fans don't. From reports that have been posted, it also looks like the team had to settle for coaches and is having to overpay players to get them here or to stay. What do you expect other than to see people complaining?
  21. I've always felt Rhule will get at least four years. This team is not forward thinking enough to setup his replacement with lots of cap space and picks.
  22. haha You're getting Picket this year with trading away next year's first for a second or third this year. Rhule and Tepper will have their guy.
  23. Doesn't matter if Rhule is here or not. The source problem is Tepper and he isn't going anywhere.
