  1. Miles starts coming alive and LaMelo decides to follow suit.
  2. The bench looks better than the starters so far.
  3. The Hornets' twitter team is having a bit of fun
  4. Hayward is pushing off way too much so far this season
  5. Like you, I was meh on the Rhule hire and didn't see what he had done in his previous stints that deserved such high consideration from NFL teams. And yeah, I'm sure Tepper is learning lessons if he is willing to.
  6. LaMelo needs to get these fouls under control. Every game played so far he has gotten into early foul trouble.
  7. Ball already has his first foul. That's not good.
  8. Yeah. Hopefully tonight will be a start of reversing that trend.
  9. He's one of the random bench guys that always hits a lot of threes against the Hornets.
  10. I don't usually agree with iamhubby1, but I agree with him that Rhule's seat won't get hot this year. Using Brady as a scapegoat buys him at least one more season. I also don't think Tepper will want to pay Rhule to sit at home or coach elsewhere for the majority of his contract. Rhule will probably be here for four years unless he quits.
  11. Rozier and Washington are both out tonight.
  12. Brady won't lose his play calling duties. Rhule will probably say he'll oversee, assist, or advise Brady more though. Maybe even go as far as say Brady will have to have his approval for each play, even if Rhule keeps things the way they are. Any bigger change will be at the end of the season when Brady leaves.
  13. As I've stated before, I have no expectations for the Panthers in any one game this year. I still think they'll win 6-9 games and Rhule keeps his job unless he quits. Brady will be the scapegoat unless he quits. The OT coach will probably also be a scapegoat. Then again, special teams have been bad special for so long, it probably doesn't matter who is coaching them.
  14. They've had their poo together the last 3-4 years. Even before drafting LaMelo, they were playing a more fun and exciting version of basketball. LaMelo has helped put them over the top. They do need to start making more cuts to the basket instead of standing around the 3 point line though.
  15. I feel the same. Those were very simple things to do that distracted most folks though.
  16. All of those things helped Tepper's bottomline.
  17. Come on. He put the logo at midfield and took away the NFL shield. He also removed Jerry's statue. Fans wanted those things. That said, those were softballs that anyone could get right. His decisions when it comes to coaches and GMs leave something to be desired though.
  18. But it helps Tepper's bottomline, which is far more important to him.
  19. Maybe they just have odd ideas about building a contender. Tepper, Rhule, and Fitt strike me as the sorts that think they can out think everybody else. Having a little ego can be a good thing. Having a lot of ego is often not a good thing. And I think we're seeing the later. As for publicly saying they expect to make the playoffs, I can't ever think of an owner, GM, or coach say otherwise no matter if they knew it wasn't happening or not. Part of that might be showing confidence in their players, but odds are it's about keeping the fans coming to games to buy overpriced beer, merch, and food so the owner keeps making money.
