How the fug are you going to rebuild once you're cap strapped to his contract and trade all your picks away ? It's likely going to take even more than 3 firsts

Everyone's acting like we're inserting Watson in a KC roster like Mahomes . In reality were still rebuilding the Oline and the defense .

I'm not comfortable trading up any more than two firsts . Any more than that (unless you have multiple firsts in a draft which we don't), is too much . Everyone's assuming Watson would work out immediately and not considering the consequences of not having first round picks and probably more than that for several years in a row . That can nuke your franchise if Watson doesn't work out for any reason. It's unlikely that all 4 of the top QBs will all go before pick 8. Just kick the rocks on one of those dudes and keep the rest of your picks to keep building up the franchise.

I don't know if I want teddy teaching anyone Get Lance on a team with a quarterback like Teddy Bridgewater who can teach him the nuances of playing the position.
