  1. Man, it looks like this score is probably true. With it, I'm officially off the Stroud train. (I was still kind of hoping we get an excellent trade back offer from the Texans, and we draft Stroud at 2). I would have been off had his score been 60%. 18%??? HOT D@MN!!!!!!!!!! I will still root for CJ on wherever he gets drafted. This score will make me root for him even more to bring down the test as much as Brock Purdy seemed to have lifted it up. Once again, if I were an agent to any top QB prospect (and perhaps all prospects because I think other position players take this test), I would tell them DO NOT TAKE THIS TEST!!! CJ Stroud may fall to the later first round after this one, if not out of the first altogether. Don't tell me it won't happen. These teams aren't playing around with stuff like this.
  2. With a score like that, there is no way anyone drafts him. Obviously this score can't be right.
  3. It's interesting that among football fans, Will Levis is a polarizing figure. You either love him or hate him. Making it even funnier is no one has a real reason to either love him or hate him, you just do. That said, among NFL coaches, I feel most, if not all, love him as a prospect. That S2 test score may put him in as the 3rd overall QB to be picked. I see Stroud falling possibly to the Raiders. If he gets by them, then the Falcons. If he drops past the Falcons, he could look to freefall.
  4. I do find it funny how the reporters mention Young's score is higher than Burrow and the others. What I want to know is, with a score like 98, is it the highest period?
  5. You heard it here first. We trade back and pick up Texans 2, 12, and 1st next year. 2. - CJ Stroud 12. - Nolan Smith Next year's 1st - Marvin Harrison
  6. I would want the 2, 12, and their Brown's 1st next year. To make it sweeter, we would give them our 2nd round pick this year.
  7. I also believe, particularly after Purdy's limited success, a lot of teams are putting a lot of stock into the S2 testing. I mentioned this jokingly in another thread, but now if I were a top QB prospect, I would never take this test even if I knew I would score well. Stroud may now very well be the fourth QB taken off the board because of it. Again, teams who do highly value this test will now look back on Stroud's career, and put more stock into his receivers and O-line (at least one of his tackles will be a first rounder) as being a key to his success at Ohio State.
  8. I wouldn't mind seeing Stroud go to the Raiders. If the Texans are really adamant on passing up on him, it would be interesting to see if someone trades up to get him, or he simply begin to fall down the board. The wildcard is Anthony Richardson. I just think about what happened to Aaron Rodgers and how far he fell. During that time, only he and Alex Smith were seen as top QB prospects. In this one, you have 4. Could Will Levis jump in the mix?
  9. Haha! The only thing Stroud did was come here and whoop McCown's behind in basketball, then he left.
  10. I'm not excited about it at all to be honest, but I've come to accept it. Young isn't a short QB, he is a SMURF QB!!! To those from fans to the media who think this will have absolutely zero impact on his career as an NFL QB, you all are super confident. I would say naïve, but I hope you are right. As for me, he only has one year to prove himself worthy. If he struggles mightily in his first year, particular if the struggles relate to his size, I might have to consider putting in my Panthers card for a bit. Especially if Stroud has success. I mentioned it in another thread I did, if Young fails and Stroud explodes on the field, I'm done as a Panthers fan.
  11. There is no question all the talk out there is the Panthers will take Young. What this means is, if the Texans want him and only him, they will have to trade up to get him. I'm making no bones about it, I am crossing my fingers for this to happen. We trade back with Houston and pick up their extra 1st at minimum, and if we can do better than that, I will never doubt Fitz ever again. Finally we draft CJ Stroud.
  12. I read a random comment saying Young has taken this test (or something similar) since he was in high school. I don't know if this is true, but I wouldn't doubt it seeing his dad is a psychologist or something like that. It brings up an interesting point of whether this test is more of a standardized one, something you can prep for and get better at it the more you take it. According to Albert Breer, Young scored a 98. All that said, if I were an agent for future first round value QBs, I would tell them straight up, "DON'T TAKE THIS TEST"!!!!! According to some, Stroud should now go undrafted because of this test. (Being funny)
  13. And we don't even know what would be considered a low score. We don't know if the ones who scored low for the past 7 years, were 5th rounders or later. We have no context of anything.
  14. Yeah man I'm tired of these tests, and won't even share the actual scores. Y'all remember the Wonderlic test? What happened to that one? Another fun fact, QBs who scored low on the Wonderlic test: Dan Marino, Jim Kelly, Donovan McNabb, Terry Damn Bradshaw!
  15. I certainly wouldn't mind trying to fleece them. Truthfully if I were in the Panthers organization, I wouldn't even fool with this strategy unless I could get the Texans' 12th pick in a trade back.
  16. I would take that to mean they don't think Young is worth trading up for.
  17. If Young is the QB the coaching and front office want, I would have to say it would be foolish with Stroud on the board. If teams around the league (including the Panthers) closely relate these two guys in terms of future success, you have to take the one who's more prototypical. Even if Young is the better guy, he is only SLIGHTLY better.
  18. I doubt they don't take Stroud if he is there, just like I doubt they wouldn't take Young. My thing is, if Young is so special, why wouldn't they trade up for him?
  19. You have to ask yourself this question, if Bryce Young is the unmistakably better QB, why are the Texans cool with waiting and taking Stroud? If Washington could have moved up to take Andrew Luck back in 2012, they would have done that with all their heart and soul. Carolina would be an absolute fool to not take CJ Stroud.
