  1. Give him an NFL training program and 5 pounds of muscle and more arm strength, if he is able to pick up an NFL playbook is the only question I have about him. I think if he can learn the playbook in time he could be dangerous but that playbook is a big hurdle to climb.
  2. Yeah yeah covid, IDGAF, look at this guy against Bama in 2020 and tell me you don't see traits from the greats. Remember, he lost most of his best players after 2020, he was the only player on their 2021 squad worth a damn. The escapability, the pocket presence, the quick twitch throws. Its all on showcase in this game against first rounders and top 5 picks, and we got this guy in the third round. Boys and girls, I sure hope we are drafting Will Anderson next year or leaving the playoffs with a rookie that looked more like Justin Herbert than JaMarcus Russell.
  3. Yep, sometimes you just have to accept a person can be physically gifted and just doesn't have the mental capacity or intangibles to be successful in the NFL. He would be All-World in the CFL or arena football tho.
  4. Also, when comparing the situation to Dak's in Dallas (who was 7th QB selected in that draft and the only one still with his original team) we see that while Dak was inconsistent with his passing coming out of Mississippi state, what he wasn't inconsistent with was his navigation of the pocket. Of all the QB's in that draft, Dak was the best at navigating the pocket. This breakdown of Corral navigating his own collapsing pocket should give you goosebumps compared to the shitfest we had with Darnold last season. Edit: Meanwhile Kenny Pickett has terrible pocket presence: Guess we'll see just how accurate indicative of success pocket presence has in evaluation this year. Lets see if it cements the observation that we saw in the Dak Prescott draft, where the only QB with good pocket presence saw success in the NFL.
  5. He has all the tools, just like Darnold has all the tools but doesn't have the grey matter that means the most between his ears, people forget how much of the game is mental. No one gave Cam a chance to grasp an NFL offenses by the start of that 2011 season coming from Zone Read in college but he did. I think Matt Corral can grasp it too but it all depends on training camp. If he can grasp the offense and just take care of the ball we could be looking at Dak Prescott/Russel Wilson kind of late rounder rookie QB season.
  6. $4 Jake, $5 89, $1 Stephen Davis, $1 Curtis Samuel, $4 Wesley Walls.
  7. Last year Kittle and Kelse were out and about on Broadway in Nashville poppin bottles with the common folk. You could probably run into 'em again this weekend, they go pretty hard.
  8. The only adult in the room. We would be fine if Tepper evaporated and Fitt got to choose his own coaching staff while having full power.
  9. Tried to explain this to numerous morons on this message board anytime our cap comes up. Thanks for posting this.
  10. That would make Pete Carrol a college coach if you call Lane Kiffin a college coach.
  11. Nope its Summer vacation for the players from the second they get done with mandatory minicamp until training camp check-in day.
  12. Very sad, if any one would like to donate I thought I would post it here.
  13. Our pass rush would be anemic without Burns and he's a youngin' still.. he very well could step into elite territory but he's good now.
  14. This man really coming for the other Steve Smith's legacy hope he goes for Steven C Smith's legacy next
  15. Every time this guy says "Umm" or "Ya know" during a press conference, instead of a shot you have to shoot a milliliter of beer, how long until I die from alcohol poisoning?
  16. Looks like Gantt was being generous.
  17. https://twitter.com/daringantt/status/1529105687892066304?s=21&t=pQch4XkT059kJXJca01RSA
  18. I mean there is still a great chance something happens before the start of training camp, I don't think either is medically cleared yet anyway so neither would even pass a physical.
  19. Sounds easy enough but our team was hamstrung for the last two years with insane amounts of deadcap.
  20. That's besides the point here, the point was that they didn't have "Pro-style Offenses" in college. It's like were having a conversation about someone's ability to speak English and I said someone's experience with Ukrainian shouldn't mean they can't learn English and someone says that someone else learned English after speaking Russian, not Ukrainian, so I shouldn't compare the two.. I hate that I just had to explain this this way. Or use "this this" in a sentence lol Edit: lets not forget this:
  21. I cared until 2011, thats all anyone would talk about being a downside of Newton coming out and I bought into it. Newton wasn't the foregone conclusion at #1 like people want to believe, there were a lot of people banging the table for the DT that went to Buffalo and even a few banging the table for Blaine Gabbard, but Hurney did his usual top 16 first round pick homerun (outside Derrick Brown) and the rest was history. I learned with Newton that its traits at the end of the day, and how hard they are as workers as a professional. Do they treat it like a job and a craft that they are compensated to spend the next 10 to 20 years of their life perfecting? You marry talent, traits, and hardwork and you can get something special sometimes. Darnold just doesn't have the traits, he always had a trait of being turnover prone, thay will never change and ya know what? His other traits might be good enough to win you games in the CFL, USFL, Pac-10, but in the NFL turnover prone doesn't work in 2022, especially when you're missing wide open home runs two or three times a game. Forget an RPO QB being a liability. Either they learn the playbook and apply their traits to the NFL level or get out the way and let Stroud or Young come in here next year and show you how its done.
  22. We are still extremely susceptible to the run which means we are still extremely susceptible to play action which is what wins games in the NFL. Until the run gets shored up and we get a possession WR we still arent exactly a QB away.
