  1. Their defensive line is solid. But dropped passes/bad passes, exection, and coaching mistakes are killing us.
  2. I love CMC but he is generally not one to push the pile. And no push on the offensive line. We would have better off with a sneak or a fg attempt. Fortunately, the defense bailed us out and we are back in the red zone. Maybe we get three this time.
  3. When it comes to short yardage (third or fourth down), our decision making and execution is very bad and has been for several years.
  4. Well, good coverage by Chinn, but we were kind of lucky. Nice play by Smith, receiver should have had it.
  5. Meh, best case scenario, he adds 10 more yards. Bad decision on the coaches part. Just not much benefit in punting from the 34 yardline.
  6. So do I, but if it happens (a big if), it might take a while to show some results. I think the defense (assuming it stays healthy) could look much better in Nov than it does early in the season.
  7. IMO, the only question that will be answered today is if we will start the season with a win. Any other more significant questions won't be answered for a while.
  8. What does that have to do with Brady? Brady is one of the best ever. If that is our expectation for Sam D, then I think there is a good chance he will fail to meet our expectations. Brady is so good at getting the ball out fast and accurate, he makes offensive lines look better than they might otherwise look. I ready that his average is 2.5 seconds. That is not to say he hasn't had good offensive lines, he has. But I don't think they were quite as great as some make them out to be. The reality is that a good qb makes a offensive line look better, and vice versa.
  9. Even if the OPI penalty is called, I still think Brady gets them in fg range. Might be a longer field goal, but still makeable.
  10. Entertaining and high scoring are two different things. A tough hard fought low scoring game can be more entertaining than a 49-35 shootout.
  11. He helps his oline look better by getting the ball out so fast.
  12. You have to admit though that some of Smith's antics were pretty funny and entertaining. Sword fighting in the Buc's end zone, pretending to row a boat (I think that was vikings and buccaneers), and of course, the infamous ice up son. Smith was a sports reporter's dream.
  13. Its money that has already been paid. If dead cap hits disappeared upon a player's retirement, the system would be easy to take advantage of. Want to pay Drew Brees 30 million to play an additional season? Just pay him up front knowing he will retire the following year, spread the cap hit out over a few years, then when he retires, the cap hit/dead money would disappear.
  14. I agree, but I was primarily looking at next year. Hopefully, the extra cap space or a new draft will help us address the oline issues next year. And maybe some of our draft picks from this year will be good enough to make the oline less of an issue.
  15. Our dead money for next year should look better as well. We could be in a good position next year, if Darnold works out. That is a big if of course.
  16. If Mac Jones works out, Bill B looks like a genius. If not, his legacy might end up being, he won because he had Tom Brady.
  17. That is a big part of it. For the little local place I go to, I notice they always set their price a couple of cents lower than the big Sheetz gas station down the road, in order to get people to stop, and maybe come by and buy a few of the 2 dollar snacks inside.
  18. I am surprised by this. But I do think Cam will catch on somewhere, probably as a backup to a team that is a contender.
  19. It doesn't appear that the storm will have much of an impact on prices. Colonial restarted its pipelines today, and prices actually dropped two cents today at the station I normally use.
