If you mean Tepper, its pointless to discuss it. He isn't going anywhere. All we can hope for is that he eventually gets better.
-
He looks really good, calm under pressure, good arm strength, some mobility. He does make some wtf plays on occasion though. As with virtually any player, no way to know if his ability will xfer to the NFL.
-
Leggett is still to raw, Johnson is good, but he is not Steve Smith or Randy Moss. Thielen is out and they are sitting on the run. Dalton is an adequate backup and that is it. I don't know if Canales will be a good coach, but I can't fault him for this.
-
I agree, and all this talk about scheme is off base. Bill Walsh couldn't scheme a td for us right now. The offense might look a little better once Thielen and Brooks return. Only a little.
-
I 1000% disagree. In this game, they know they stop Johnson and Hubbard, we have nothing else.
-
They are sitting on Hubbard. They are on him as soon as he gets the ball. We aren't going to be able to run the ball.
-
They are sitting on the run, doubling Johnson, and with Thielen out, we have no one else who is a threat.
-
Well, that was awful.

BREAKING: Miles Sanders available for trade
Davidson Deac II replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Someone tboned my wife's car a few years ago just as the post Covid shut downs were ending. It was paid off, so the other guys insurance cut us a big check. We were going to get a Rav4 plug in hybrid, but it was a six month wait. And she wanted the Rav, so we ended up going with the gas model. Maybe next time, although I hope hers last 10-15 years. -
Football is a game of inches.

Looks good. I wouldn't mind having one, just not ready to make that move yet. -

We may not move Chuba, but I have a feeling this thread will soon be moved (or locked). -
BREAKING: Miles Sanders available for trade

Is this really news? Breaking news, I need to stop today and get gas for my car. -
Ewers isn't exactly doing himself any favors tonight either.

Don't really care enough to watch the game, but the game feed is interesting. Punt, Punt, Interception, Punt, Interception, fumble.
-
Bama with their second loss and third bad game in a row. Wonder if they will drop to 8th in the polls.

Meh, I think Sanders gets a lot of attention due to his last name. As to how good he really is, we will see. He had better learn how to get rid of the ball faster or his NFL career will be a short one. Predictions about qb classes get it wrong as often as they get it right. 2021 was a very hyped qb class, and it might be the most over hyped class in a long time.
-
Which is why I said, he should stay in College. College Coaches having success in the NFL without significant prior NFL experience is exceedingly rare. Last one to do it was Jimmy Johnson I think.
-
Rhule should never be in the NFL. But he has shown the ability to turn college programs around. Even with today's loss, Nebraska is off to its best start in a long time. It will be interesting to see if he can bring the program back to a championship level if he sticks around for more than a couple of years.

They don't have a number one, which imo could make them harder to defend. 4 guys with 20 plus catches is better than 1 guy with 60 or 70. And most importantly, the run game is averaging 5 ypc or better even if you subtract Ward's scrambles/runs. They can run and pass with the best of them. They just can't stop anyone (well anyone other than Florida) and while they have a good shot at being in the playoffs, they have very little chance of winning because of poor defense.
-
You could say that about virtually any offense in the NCAA's top programs. Top College programs revolve around the QB just like the NFL does. Some teams probably have better backup qb's than Miami does though. Fwiw, Miami runs the ball well.
-
Bryce Young did great against the SEC.
-
Miami's offense is Championship caliber. Most of their struggles are on the offensive side.

I think the mistake the Aints made was that they probably should have just started over again after Brees left. Let go of a lot of the high priced players and rebuild. Not that we are in much of a position to criticize them.
