Yall talk about taking a QB next year like its automatic given. This roster is not bad enough to be in position for that. Hell, we won 5 games with darnold and still ended up picking 6. Undoubtedly you are looking at trading a multiple picks to move up for a QB just like we were about to do for watson. The difference is you will be trading picks for a unknown. And Good luck trying to secretly sell this strategy to guys on the roster.

It makes sense, trade back also still opens up the possibility to get a LT later. I really want to have some day 2 picks in this draft. Im pretty sure they see that as a priority as well.

I could see us not trading back as well. Anything outside of a QB or LT is gonna be depth on this team. That's the honest truth, crazy as it sounds we don't have a lot of holes like that. Atleast not this year.

Technically yes...but we can be honestly say nobody is actually going to be okay with sitting threw another 17 games of darnold. It just isnt gonna happen. This isn't the type of team and fanbase for that.

Sound like QB to me...but that could change. The big emphasis on winning right now.

I dont get the vitriol some of you have for people that cover the team. The fact that there are people that cover who are willing to engage with fans and pass along things they hear should warrant no animosity. Its better than sitting in the complete dark and not hearing anything till draft and the season. If anything it passes the time, and none of them actually guarantee something is gonna happen and only claim its speculation. If you are getting that worked up over it that much then its on you and you need help.

I like Cross too, but i dont think he is elite like the top 2 so i dont know if i would take him over a QB at the moment. He definitely has some flaws to sure up.

Logical move....but rhule isnt attaching his job status to another year darnold. I doubt he would have been brought back with the thought of they would be rolling with darnold another year. I just dont see it.

No he wasn't bad. He just didn't jump off the screen like a lot of people said he would. Lot of things to like though...far as pro days pickett and willis were better.

I wasnt as impressed as i thought i was gonna be compared to other pro days.

This the type of talk that makes me lean towards guys like Pickett. Dont know how things like this become more important for a QB. If you can process information, make smart decisions, read coverages then i want you as my QB. The athleticism is just a plus long as you dont have a weak arm to me. Mental game and strong enough arm to make all the throws is what checks out for me.
