  1. I’m a state grad and love the limelight on the program. But I think this is only a cool novelty story and doubt it really goes anywhere. Unless he’s left handed.
  2. Right now I am crushing for a fast dude that can get open and catch. Also, archetype is a really fun word to say so thanks.
  3. Anything other than this needs to come with a caveat in my opinion. I am quite satisfied with the moves they made and it looks like there is a plan. But... We don't/cant/won't know whether or not this works until the games are played. Not hating on Morgan or putting the team down. I give Morgan and Co all the props as lots of these moves look to be calculated and appear to address holes, but we don't know until they play the games.
  4. Sorry. You must be confusing this place with some other fan forum you moderate. No one would ever overreact here.
  5. In principal I agree with this and like where your head is on this. I still think they need to look at BPA and hope it lines up with need though.
  6. I think it’s fine for me personally to be satisfied with the moves as long as expectations are tempered. On paper it looks good. On defense the Panthers traded away “best” defensive asset on the team but the defense still looks like it should be able to perform at the same or better level. While there are no on field everything looks positive so far. On offense there were glaring holes in protecting your QB and have made additions to protect your QB. If you go in a different direction and move on from Bryce that foundation should be good for the next guy. I like the moves and think there is a plan to this but they still need to hit in the draft and it's a given that all of this still needs to equate to field execution and game success. I think this is still a bad football team but they are a better than last year and things are looking up.
  7. Wilson is intriguing and I do love my Wolfpack but I worry with the way jury history.
  8. My apologies if the post caused confusion. I thought it was fairly clear that I did think he would need to try and make it work but sometimes what I type is not a clear reflection of thought. Simply put, the narrative is that Canales is trying to "fix" Bryce. Canales needs to follow through with said narrative. If it doesn't work, move on.
  9. Canales has little to no alternative than to spread the narrative that he is looking to "fix" Young. He may think on the inside that there is no way in hell to fix him but he still has to put that out there and try to make it work. Reich took an alternate approach and I guess it got him a lucrative retirement package but I think Canales has more career ahead of him than behind him so I believe he is right to go in with this mindset. That said if you try your best to "fix" him and spend boatloads of money to protect him and it still doesn't work, then you have a case to move on while still being in good standing with Tepper. I'm good with his approach and hope (which is dwindling) it can yield significant results.
  10. I don't want to hate on NO just because they are a division rivals. I wish them all the luck and good fortune in the world in re-signing Cam Erving to a very lengthy and lucrative contract.
  11. Not clutching my pearls just yet. Reading between the lines we may have a talented WR upset about playing time and/or not getting receptions on his former team. if it works out it works out. If not it’s a really good/value stop gap at a position of need. Canales has experience and can maybe channel some Pete Carol zen. I also think AT and Moton can help temper some of this on the offense via veteran mentorship if something crops up.
  12. So far I think the roster moves on offense thus far would help almost any young QB. That being said if BY doesn't show something this year I'm pretty sure (or at least extremely hopeful) we are looking for a QB next April
  13. I see what they are doing here and I’m ok with the first pick. It goes off the rails for me with the trade of the 39th pick. You are basically trading out of the 2nd round and getting 3rd round picks in 24 and 25. You can get a probable starter at 39. Doesn’t set well with where we are at from a roster standpoint.
  14. I think Hunter is the real deal but I am getting off the hype train for Shedeur. The posturing is one thing and I think he has the best interest of his players in mind but as a consequence he is putting a lot of extra pressure on himself and his young players to perform. A college QB from a 4-8 team + all the Sanders baggage makes one hesitate.
  15. Damn. Seems like it was only yesterday when I was struggling to figure out how to pronounce his name. Now. Fast forward and he’s leaving. Time really does fly.
  16. Well said. My response was going to be that guy in the helmet with the Panther on the side but I do like your brevity much better.
  17. Fair assessment in my opinion I believe the org is doing there best to surround him with pieces that will help his progression. If that progression does not happen they should look to correct this sooner than later (i.e. in 2025 look to draft a QB if feasible) My view of BY is that there is still hope but as the season went on, that diminished for me. I want whoever they put behind center to succeed so I am pulling for him.
  18. Entered State as a freshman right when Valvano was exiting. I have watched all teams since that time strive to achieve mediocrity year after year so this is both unexpected and special. Happy for the players coaches and fans alike. My son is also heading to Chapel Hill in the fall so it was highly entertaining as a State Grad to spoon feed him (in good fun) a poo burger Saturday night.
  19. Cautious optimism would be my overall impression. As OP said you can’t jump the gun and judge overall results but the moves do seem to suggest a plan.
