  1. I'll just say I wouldn't hate it if we picked Carr up. I'm a fan and it would help us focus the draft on getting an upgrade at WR, TE, and/or CB. He'd be more expensive than a rookie, but we'd come out of the gates a lot quicker, we'd have a really good QB with a huge chip in his shoulder, and we wouldn't have to give up any draft capital to get him. Basically I'm good if we draft one of the top 3 or if we pick Carr up.
  2. Saints got no cap space. Same with Tampa. We're a much better situation.
  3. I seriously doubt that would be the result with the Evero/Capers duo. I have more faith in these two than I have had with any defensive coaching staff we've had.
  4. They fit the scheme to the players they have, not the other way around. We'd only be switching to a 3-4 if we have the personnel for it and even then it would only be a base, but adaptive to situations. Basically, all the stress about Evero and Capers switching to a 3-4 is needless. But I get what you're saying, what we do could effect who would be interested, but I think who we have on staff would be a much bigger factor. Imo, we'll just be bringing in talent and fitting what we want to do to the talent that is here.
  5. I'm just looking at this crew that we've gotten so far (and we're only about half way done) and we've cast a really wide net drawing old experienced guys mixed in with fresh up and coming coaches and all of them from a fairly wide range of teams. I'm just wondering how many FA guys are going to be looking at what is going on here here and thinking they want to be a part of it working with a coach or two that they love or look up to?
  6. basically if you have to micromanage, you've hired the wrong people. if you want to micromanage, then why bother hiring anyone at all? instead just get therapy. it's going to be cheaper.
  7. hire/promote the best people possible so you have to do as little as possible to succeed. it's not laziness, it's realizing that there's better people at their job than you could do their job and you put them in a position to do their job and you let them do their job. All you have to do is set expectations and monitor the results.
  8. true. the best WRs show up regardless of who is throwing the ball.
  9. his ceiling so far is unknown because of his QB. it's all just potential. can't judge on potential. have to judge on what is known and demonstrated. what measure should be used to fit him into the top 15? what would make him better than those who have shown to produce more?
  10. first thing i see when i google "best NFL WRs 2022" https://www.profootballnetwork.com/the-top-wide-receivers-in-the-nfl-2022/ and on PFF https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-wide-receiver-rankings-and-tiers-2022
  11. all your coaches are belong to us.
  12. Bienemey calls plays. He's not the sole or even primary play caller. He might be able to do it, but he hasn't as a primary caller. As long as he's with Reid, that's going to be a problem for him. Other Reid OCs have gone on and done well as HCs, but Nagy I think messed things up for others who would follow. Bienemey needs to take another OC job.
  13. We've got guys whose judgement I trust. I'm just along for the ride now. Whatever they decide, I've got faith they know what they're doing. I'd like for them to draft one of my three favorites, Young, Stroud, or AR, but if the draft Levis or pick up someone like Carr....I can deal with it. We could trade for Lamar (which is kind of unnecessary, imo) and I'd be ok with that.
  14. this just makes too much sense. definitely the route i see us taking.
  15. He has one trade suitor because EVERYONE knows that the raiders are going to have to cut him tomorrow and that Carr would veto any trade that was attempted just because. And he's got a good solid 5-7 years left at least. Teams that aren't interested in playing btge long game and want to be immediate contenders would be looking at him ahead of any available vet not named Rodgers. If you don't think you're going to be able to get your franchise guy in this draft, you're going to want to go for Carr. The guy is a legit probowler and a great leader. Is he my first, second, or third choice for a QB this year? No....that would be Young, Stroud, or AR. If the choice is between him and Levis....it's a toss up, but I'm probably going with Carr. If it's Carr or any QB outside of those top 4 QBs or any other available vet, I'm going with Carr and I'll feel good about it because we would have the best QB in the NFCS and he'd be good enough to make us solid contenders in the playoffs. But, again, I'd rather have Stroud, Young, or AR.
  16. Eagles have nothing to be ashamed of. Great game. I mean Hurts through up a duck on that last throw, but he was amazing. Both QBs were.
  17. Best one I can remember in a while.
  18. Yeah I got up and started to get mad at whoever hijacked my remote. Couldn't figure out who was doing it.
