  1. Lol i fugged that up. Why would anyone choose us over any other situation?
  2. Why would anyone choose us over any other situation? Aside from money (which we've learned doesn't help much) what reason is there? Lol
  3. Honestly, nobody really excites me. I'm sure some of those guys would be good...maybe even great. I just don't see us having any success for a while now matter who we get and, knowing our track record, the bar is set high for mediocre. And I know if 8 let myself get excited about someone, they've been a disappointment. So I'm just along for the ride. If we win, great. If we don't....well I'm used to it.
  4. They tried developing/building and running an offense that was in no one's wheelhouse around a speculative commodity with only a vague idea how it would look left for a lot of individual interpretation from very distinct mindsets with a head coach who was a nice guy, but also fearful of not having control and no clear understanding on how to or ability to run a club where so many strong personalities and presences from diverse backgrounds are present and all of that with a narcissistic owner who wants his two cents put into every discussion and decision while also breathing down the head coach's neck at all times. Now try reading that massive run on sentence out loud without taking a breath and you have the compexity and chaos of this team in a nutshell. And that was just the offense.
  5. https://www.thephinsider.com/2024/1/4/24025993/miami-dolphins-oc-frank-smith-is-widely-admired-by-the-nfl of course then there's this... so who knows?
  6. hire smart people to run the thing, tell them my vision of the team, and then let them run it and i'd just sit back and eat cheetos and wipe the orange crap left on my fingers on nicole's dog.
  7. it will either be someone in their 30s without head coaching experience desperate for a chance to prove himself anywhere, or some old guy with tons of HC experience looking for a good place to retire.
  8. Before sending that note... If I sent you a note asking you a question, would you answer it? yes [ ] no [ ] That's where we're at.
  9. Pair him up with Dan Quinn. The two are used to working with each other already. The more I ponder, the more I think our old mentality/identity depended on "punch you in the face" football and defensive coaches are better at fostering that kind of environment. Plus the guy runs a fierce D. Then pair him up with Darrell Bevell at OC who could work with Bryce next year and see what he would be like with a good coach.
  10. this year on so many levels for the panthers...
  11. i think the bar isn't particularly high for being better than morgan, but if they can't get anyone else...then dan is the man.
  12. if we can't get anyone better, sure.
  13. i don't expect next year for us to be anywhere near good. we'll be at the bottom of the worst division in the NFL. i don't expect us to be good. i don't expect us to be remotely interesting next year. hopefully if we suck, it will be enough to earn the #1 pick in the '25 draft and we don't trade any picks away. i don't want us to try and finagle our way to getting a better team next year through trades. only trading we should be doing is whatever we can to increase the number of picks in the '25 draft. next year is going to suck anyways, so why not use that to stockpile picks and cap space? new coach needs to see next year as a dead year and the goal for that coaching staff should be just to get through the year and see who we want to keep around.
  14. i do know that whoever it is, i'm not going to get too excited or pissed off. at this point it/they (the panthers) just aren't worth it.
