I'm pretty sure they would have been doing that regardless. Getting drafted means money. They were happy he got into the nfl not because of the panthers specifically.

oh trust me - nowadays its more than money i.e i love manziel but being drafted to Cleveland is.. how shall i say this.. kinda sucks. Now imagine if Johnny was drafted by Cowboys.. yep. Everyone expected them to draft Johnny :) I think they will live to regret that decision.

 

Now on the other hand - Imagine being a WIde receiver out of College with Kelvins raw talent and knowing that your quarterback will be Cammy Cam. :) Come on even my one legged Grandma would jump with joy. :)

I am sure getting drafted into the 1st round had a lot to do with the excitement too. The way the board was looking, had the Panthers not taken KB, he would have dropped to the second round.
