Last off season we picked up a nice acquisition that really hasn't been talked about on here. I'm bringing this up now bc as everyone is talking about and complaining about the need for shooting I feel like people are overlooking that acquisition we made.

The most important thing this offseason isn't who we get in the draft. It's a coach we already have that has been sitting on the bench all season... Mark Price

For those of you that remember him back in his playing days, he was a solid shooter and one of the best FT shooters in the league. With a full off season to work with players I really think he will play a large role in helping players, specifically MKG's shot, Kemba's PG play, and outside shooting for some others. Price has worked with players in the past and if he has the same type of success we will be making a big leap just with the existing guys on the team.

For those of you that have said we need a Rajan Rondo type of player. Why trade for one when the assistant coach is the one who played a big role in developing Rondo into a good player. And a few others that would ring a bell.

While everyone else is discussing the draft and free agency, I feel the most dramatic step taken this off season is happening right under our nose in the work Mark Price is doing with the existing lineup.

sorry I am chalking MKG's jumper up as a lost cause.  If this guy is going to excel in the NBA, hes gonna have to start getting nasty and start driving hard to the basket with thunder dunks.  He does pretty good at slashing to the basket but when he gets there alot of times he puts up some really weak floating layup or some poo.  JUST DUNK THAT poo!

lol, I misread and though OP was insisting that Mark Price would be worked into the existed lineup.

Lol, no, don't think he will be making a comeback. On second thought, if he can still get up and down the court average 40% 3's and a 90% free throws maybe he should at least think about it. :-)

    • If Henderson just got a concussion and will possibly/probably now miss next week as well, gotta think missing 2 games of stats at this point of the year might knock him out as he was only just entering the discussion the last few weeks anyways.  Same goes for Judkins going down today too, and Dart's god awful game likely removes him from the conversation as well. It will be interesting to see how the voters compare T-Mac and Egbuka if they end up with stats that are nearly identical. Egbuka burst onto the scene and put up the bulk of his stats early in the year when Baker was playing like the MVP front runner.  While T-Mac was just more consistent throughout the course of the full season (ex. Egbuka has 8 games of 42 yards or less, T-Mac has 4 of them, while T-Mac still scored 3 TDs in those 4 games, where Egbuka only scored 1 TD in his 8). It would be a shame if they put too much weight on the final game of the season if that ends up being the division decider, as I think T-Mac has had the better SEASON while Egbuka had a better peak output during that first month or so but way cooled off since. Maybe Warren goes off in the last 3 games (they still play tomorrow), but it does seem to be down to T-Mac and Egbuka right now.
    • Mitchell Evan’s put a block on someone that he drove them all the way out of bounds and to the bench. He absolutely destroyed the guy. He’s gonna be a beast for us if he keeps that up.
    • Yall... stop taking a sample size and projecting a role player into a permanent starter cuz he had a decent year after what, 5? Come on
