NFL.com's World Cup-NFL team comparisons

So Andrew Luck is the greatest football player in the world, eh?  That's what I got from that article.  Jeeze, I wish the media would hop off that dude's dick for at least just one season until he actually does something besides appear to be a slightly above average-good QB with the potential to be really good.

No other young QB gets that same benefit of the doubt.  It makes it kind of hard to root for the guy.  The media is just determined they aren't going to burn themselves after the ridiculous amount of hype they gave him prior to the draft.  He could be a fringe top 10 QB his whole career, retire, and I'm sure the media would somehow anoint him as the GOAT - or at least damn sure constantly put him in the conversation.

Anyways, I don't know poo about soccer.  I watched the game today though and actually found myself enjoying it.  The last 10-15 minutes or so were pretty tense.

It won't seem like a good comparison when Murica runs into Ze Germans...

Either way, what an exciting game.

If we play like we did yesterday, the Germans will own us as will Portugal.  We were good for 4 of the 90 minutes.  But we have the capacity to be much better without injuries to some key players and what appeared to be a letdown with the hot muggy weather. Still the reason they play the games is so we can see who is best.
