Goosebumps

My opinion on James is simple. I hated him in Miami because he decided to team up with 2 superstars before getting his home town the championship they've long waited for. Now that he's back in Cleveland, I really have no opinion on him. I'm glad that the East is more open now. For the last 3 years it's been no discussion as to who would win the East. Now, I could see around 7 or 8 teams strongly contending for the Eastern conference championship.

However, I'm not gonna buy into all the Lebron love he's suddenly getting.

I've always said this dude is a fraud and I stand by it. Come in the league as King James, pls. He's a attention seeking teenage girl who couldn't stand on his on. Yes he is the best player playing today but that's not saying much to me, I'm sorry. To me he doesn't come close to Jordan, Ervin, Bird, nor Isiah Thomas, lot a people sleep on Zeek. I don't dislike nor love the dude, I only care about players on my home team (Hornets).

Lebron could have left for those four years and gone to any city. Miami had a taste of "the King", but it wasn't home for him. He never had long term plans there.

That is what Heat fans are realizing and as much as that sucks, it's the truth.

Why are you getting goosebumps? He's not headed to Charlotte. You guys acting like we got him lol

James came into the league when the Bobcats were- lets just say- non competitive..

And how could you root against a city like Cleveland, who has just been decimated by sports fiascos since the beginning of time? so back then, they were the underdogs.. i mean just look at the team he took to the Finals- it is arguably the worst team ever to get there.

When he went to MIA, like a lot of people i was upset. But then throughout the year- all the hate and negativity throw his way- i found myself defending him more than being upset. Then i found myself rooting for him to win. I disliked Wade and the piss-poor Miami fans, but i wanted to see 'greatness' (aka threepeat).

Anyways, now that he's headed home- it just feels right. I will always root for Charlotte over Miami, Cleveland and whoever else is our opponent, but i do have other teams i like and the Cavs are one of them.

look, i call a spade a spade.. and either you made and idiotic statement or you are an idiot..

I've always said this dude is a fraud and I stand by it....

What did he do to fool you?

Yes he is the best player playing today but that's not saying much to me, I'm sorry. To me he doesn't come close to Jordan, Ervin, Bird, nor Isiah Thomas

he is smashing every record in the books as we speak, in record time, and already has as many titles as Isiah, 1 less than Bird. He's beating everyone in MVPs, sansJordan.. look, i dont need to roll out all the numbers and footage but to say he's not even come close--- you HAVE to be idiotic to believe that.. or just blinded by Hate

I don't dislike the dude

If you don't dislike Lebron, i would hate to see someone you do truly dislike..

anyways, whatever.. i will retract my earlier statement and give you the benefit of the doubt and say it was just an idiotic statement instead of calling you an idiot.. i apologize

lebron is undeniably one of the top players of all time.  because of the difference between the decades i don't want to try to even guess where he fits, but only a hater (and I have been one on occasion, esp. in the immediate aftermath of the decision) would think otherwise.  his last 2 titles have cemented him, at least to me, as one of the best all time.

i don't fault him for being unable to get another this year, nor one in his first year with the heat.  he played his heart out in this year's playoffs.

    • That's my biggest concern with making him the 2C.  You split up the Aho Jarvis bromance that accounted for a lot of points.  If Jarvis excels as a C, it could help the team even more though.
    • The Saints being that high is the one that killed me. Chris Olave might not know his name at this point, Shaheed is coming off injury as well, so 31 year old Brandin Cooks might be your best WR...coming off a 260 yard season over 10 games. Kamara is Kamara, but didn't have 1,000 yards last year and is about to turn 30.  Toss in the fact that Taysom Hill may be the best QB on the team and I truly don't understand Barnwell's thoughts beside seeing the names "Olave" and "Kamara" and going yep, that sounds better than "Chuba" and "Thielen".
    • Now now now, I wouldn't say there is no logic, but there's just not a lot of in-depth thought put into Barnwell's  "analysis." Now to be fair to him (and other national writers), pre-season team rankings are basically clickbait. And...Barnwell, himself, said that "there's a lot of projection here." He basically admits that he doesn't know how the hell things are going to turn out with our receiver group. He also said that "I find myself" more intrigued by Coker than Legette; that does not mean that he said that fans should be, or that Coker will even be better than Legette (regardless of ESPN's per-route-run stat). So, yeah, Barnwell said some things, but even he has to basically admit that he doesn't know how bad or good that our playmakers will be in 2025.  Overall, what Barnwell is basically thinking is that the Panthers have gotten worse at the offensive skill positions, and baked into that is that others have gotten better. That's the argument in July (meaning, please don't give this any more weight than it's due). I would personally be surprised (not shocked) if we end up worse than the Titans, Pats and Giants at least. Once you throw in the Bills, Giants, Jets, Steelers, and even the Chargers, I personally think there are several teams' skill groups that may end up ranked lower than ours by the end of 2025.  @kungfoodudeis one of my dudes, but like others he is over the tipping point. He's had enough. Seeing is believing. I will say this though: Barnwell's piece is less about logic than just good ol' opinion. And to be honest, he might as well be a Huddler throwing out sh¡t in the summer based upon nothing but good feels or bad feels.  Our offense as a whole (just like any other team's) is going to depend upon the play of the O-line and especially the QB. How you can even rank the skill positions without expressly baking those two things in the cake is beyond me. I would dare say that that's not even logical.
