Doesn't work that way.

During training camp. teams are only required to count the top 51 salaries. After final cuts, everybody counts (roster, practice squad, injured reserve, suspended, whatever).

Thus, going into the season, it actually gets harder rather than easier.

(and that's why you sometimes see veteran cuts that you wouldn't expect)

Good looking out. I am not very cap savy.....

I am very close to finishing my Bachelor degree and plan on starting my masters in sports management(because i know i suck in the cap area).
