What are you most EXCITED for this season?!

I'm sure we all consider ourselves realists when in fact we have a hidden sense of pessimism or optimism. I truly think our offense looks amazing besides our line depth. Our defense will be stellar barring the inevitable breakdown on our back end on a few plays. I think we'll be better than last year although our record may not show it at the end of the season.

as long as "better than last year" ends up to mean that we win at least one playoff game, then i'll be satisfied.

and youre right. we all consider ourselves realists. and i'll be the first to admit that this team made me an optimist through camp. i believe in the team. but my realism comes in when i view the concerns the team still has. youre right, the Panthers will probably be a better team this year talent-wise. but the nature of our schedule and the nature of our weaknesses may put our wins in the 11-10 range. injuries and bad breaks could easily push that to 9 wins :/

    • I think where they would be picked if redrafted before both classes have played enough football to really tell.  Baker literally looked like a washout with us after Cleveland gave up on him, then turned world beater with the Rams, got a prove it deal with the Bucs and has looked awesome ever since. Asking where Ward would’ve went had he went in ‘24 is just stupid.  I’m no GM, but I wouldn’t have taken Williams #1 either.  I would’ve taken Joe Milton way higher than he went.  I think Shadeur should’ve been a first round pick this year.  Point being, opinions are like buttholes, everybody has one.  It’s my opinion that Ward has that “something special.”  I get that feeling that he’ll be an even better pro than he was a collegiate QB because of whatever that quality is.  I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people, especially being such an under appreciated first overall pick.
    • Where do we get our T-shirts and hats? Pretty sure this is the first championship ever in professional basketball or football in Charlotte!
    • Nice turnaround for Kon.  I’m still a little worried about his ability to create for himself and others, but it was SL.  Come regular season, he will playing a much different role and shots will be there for him.  He showed some reason for hope - and not just him, but the whole squad.  I suppose for the first time ever, we have drafted and acquired enough young talent that we actually not only competed for once, but won the whole thing in summer league.     Kon, Simpson, and Sims made all the difference.  Almost every year prior I felt we always struggled because we usually didn’t have a floor general/real PG to get us into offense.  This was such a breath of fresh air.  And look at us!  We finally are champions!😂
