2015 Top Prospects By Position

People aren't sleeping. He's a projected 1st rounder.

Yeah true Chuck but I don't think he's in a lower tier compared to Winston and Mariota.  Those two keep being brought (for good reasons) but Hundley is right there.  The college season has a ways to go and it'll be interesting to see how all of them do with their respective top-programs.  I just find it interesting the top-3 QB prospects all have a good shot at the title this year.

Mariota has a big game coming up against the Wildcats this weekend and Oct. 11 is going to be huge.  UCLA-Oregon

With a good pro day and combine, he could be in the conversation.

Had he entered this previous draft, he would've been a 1st rounder. He only helped his stock even more by staying another year. So, I think he's def a 1st round lock. There could be three QBs going in the top 15 next year.

Winston is probably the best QB in this class, but with these off field issues teams may feel uncomfortable taking him early. Especially with these domestic violence cases happening this year. A team maybe rather be safe and go with Hundley.

If I was a QB needy team, I wouldn't even bother touching Winston.  Once he get some money in his pocket, all the trouble that has been following him will increase ten fold.  What Winston personally need is a team on the back end of the 1st to draft him.  A team who already has an established QB and great mentors.  Yet if Winston get drafted by the Raiders or some other sorry team, his career will crash and burn.

Agree.

Winston to Oakland is as good as dead. Same if he lands in Tennessee. He better hope he lands in Arizona or Houston where there's veteran leaderships to control a guy like him.

Winston is the best qb talent in this draft.... mariota could be kaepernick or he could be another ryan tannehill...  Winston reminds me of Warren Moon meets Peyton Manning with mobility.... just think without the constant slandering he would be viewed as a John Elway type of talent...

thank god hurney didnt listen to media who wanted Blaine Gabbert over Cam....

Cam and Winston were able to ball out in college with distractions off the field.... I think Winston will excel in the wonderlic as well... he got accepted into Notre Dame and Stanford

I wasn't too high on drafting a safety in the first round. Yet I'm starting to like this Collins kid everyone has been talking about. I would consider him if we were picking 25-32 range.

You would consider him in the 25-32 range???

LMFAO

Collins is a top 7-10 lock.

Highest rated Safety to come out since Eric Berry (2010).

    • I’m not mad at Moehrig.  He’s great at what he does.  And to be honest, a lot of my favorite safeties in our history were box-first type guys - Maxie, Minter, Mike Mitchell, Chris Harris…  they’re first and foremost objective was to put people on their backs and coverage was secondary.  There is a place for that.  There is a definite need for that.  Physical guys that set the tone.  So cool, we have that in Moerhig. But what we have lacked for the vast majority of our existence is a true free safety that cleans everything up on the back end.  Sometimes they come in the form of a JOAT, like Peppers.  I think he would be a fantastic compliment to Moehrig’s strengths and weaknesses.  If we don’t go after him, I certainly hope Ransom is given the chance to grow and develop in real-time with real game reps, because what he did in preseason was very encouraging to see.  I hope he can grow into that roaming center fielder with a little bit of an edge to him as an enforcer as well.  He has the tools.  In the meantime, adding Peppers would only help.
    • Option 1 is most likely. Even if he kills it this year, it wouldn't be prudent to rush an extension for one good season. If you have to pay him more because you waited another year, then he earned it. And that's OK. Adjust accordingly.
    • Cam had the advantage of having a very strong supporting cast his first 2 seasons. Things definitely worsened later on. But those first couple of years can kill a QB. Some never truly recover. If they do recover it takes years, and usually with another team. Trying to learn to be an NFL QB with TEs and WRs that are trying to learn too is a recipe for disaster. Imagine if Cam's rookie season was that 2014 offensive squad. Changes everything! I said it when they moved up in 2023. This team wasn't ready for a rookie QB yet. Anyone that thinks Stroud would have been a lot better is delusional. The correct formula is to build a strong team and then you go get your rookie QB. Not the other way around. BY is going into his third season and we're still trying to put a respectable group of WRs and TEs around him. I think they have the right personnel now. Unfortunately they haven't developed into actual NFL players yet.  This season we should expect consistency and aggressiveness from BY. Mostly for his development but also to DEVELOP his young cast.
