Most fans have no idea of tge players responsibility on said plays.

Godfrey has been hated ever since the Panthers equipment manager gave him #30.

That will never change.

Not blaming Godfrey at all, but he's definitely a step slow coming off of his injury. Whoever is to blame, he doesn't have the recovery speed to make plays. You saw it in the preseason, you saw it week one. It takes a year to get back from an achilles. I like him as a player, but the speed just isn't back yet.

I think Godfrey looked pretty good. You hear that a lot from Ron though. If guys get a free run they can bust our zone. It happens several times a season.

Exactly. So do people think Godfrey thought "Oh gee White didn't bump him. I'm just going to let him go free so that he takes all the blame and learns from his mistake"? No. If a player comes into your zone, you cover him. Not just jog towards him ever so slowly or just stand in place.

But, he is expecting the player to be bumped and not just running full speed into his zone. White's mistake did not give Godfrey the time to react.

Godfrey is nothing more than avg...but he is better than most of you knuckleheads make him out to be.
