I can't imagine moving forward without some type of offensive changes; what do you think happens?

Many of you wont like this but putting Cam on IR and starting DA would be the most prudent course of action. It is CRYSTAL clear Cam isnt anywhere near 100%. Its like hes in double the amount of danger. Because of his ankle he cant escape sacks as easily as he use to, so as a result he gets sacked and iniures his ribs even further and it becomes a vicous cycle. I guarantee, if Cam keeps taking beating like last night, its going to keep setting him back and he wont be 100% come next season either.

He needs one cmplete season off. You may think im crazy for wanting Cam on IR but if he keeps taking hits like lastnight, that is exactly where he is headed by mid season and thats the cold fact

its been several games since we hit 30 pts.

It definitely has.

I agree with thinking about the defense too but it'd be nice to be able to win a shootout for these hopefully rare occurrences where the defense has a crappy game.

I dunno, I just feel there's something that can be done that's (A) not detrimental to the future and (B) Doesn't require us waiting until next offseason.

So let me get this straight...we should put Cam on IR now because you think he's going to have to go on IR at mid-season anyway? What kind of logic is that?

You are the most reactionary poster on this board (yes, even more than Chuck). if you were running a franchise, you would be firing head coaches every other week, benching QB's left and right, playing new guys just because they have "potential" and on and on.

Do you really believe DA would have completed 68% of his passes last night? The guy's career % is in the 50's, yet you continually say he should be playing over Cam. Sorry to be blunt, but you are horribly misguided about nearly everything NFL.

DA completed nearly 70% of his passes against Tampa Bay. Even Scott Fowler (one of the more sensible ones at CO) wrote a article today that kind of suggested what im saying. So im not the only one

fugg it sign incognito lol

We should definitely take a look at him. Not sure if he's eligible yet thought he may have to get cleared by Goodell. Amini and Turner have both sucked. Incognito would at least give us a temporary fix in the run game and even pass game on one side.

    • More praise of Renfrow from Tim Weaver (formerly of USA Today's Panthers Wire, now SI.com), and also what I told some of you, my Huddle friends, from the start: keep it all in perspective, and don't conveniently---and perhaps unfairly, discount and label Renfrow as a JAG when it was a very debilitating illness affecting his play.    "It's understandable to be skeptical about Renfrow's abilities at this late point in his career. After all, he missed all of last season due to a bout of ulcerative colitis that also took a serious toll on his production in 2022 and 2023."   When Renfrow is healthy, he's an above average guy. Being 29 may hurt or help his chances depending upon perspective, but 29 for receivers generally means that there's still (sometimes plenty) gas in the tank. Renfrow also obviously has plenty of motivation and has come with his game face.   "Then agan, seeing is believing and by all accounts Renfrow has been very impressive since joining the Panthers a few months ago... Where Renfrow will fit in Carolina's new-look receiver corps remains to be seen, but at this rate it's going to be hard to exclude him from the initial 53-man roster." https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/hunter-renfrow-sick-route-panthers-training-camp Read the room, ladies and gentlemen. And don't get it twisted; Renfrow isn't the most talented receiver on the team, but we have seen his ceiling, when healthy, in a Raiders offense that wasn't necessary replete with talent. Consider what he can do, especially in the slot, in a Panthers offense primed with young talent (no pun intended). From sick to "sick routes," eh.
    • That is literally what I am talking about. Those were 53 man cuts. Not at the beginning of camp.  I would say the odds of Barno being back are extremely thin.
