No faith in the the Team

After going 12-4 last season, and getting spanked in the first playoff game, my expectations are low for this season. No excitement.

12-4 is the regular season record of a team that should be in the Super Bowl.

Odds are they will not go 12-4 this season, so I don't know what to expect. If 12-4 doesn't mean anything, then what does.

Denver went 14-2, lost to Jax then went to win two straight SB's. What's your worthless point.

Fine, no need to watch this year is there?

IF you're not excited, then I don't know what you should ever be excited about. If the beginning of a new season and fresh start doesnt mean anything, I don't know what does. Odds are, as long as the Panthers are doing well, you will be out of site, but as soon as we lose a game, you will be on here trashing Jake or Fox or Peppers or whoever. You're a sad soul.

This makes me think about the Philly or Rays fans. Two teams that were in the World Series last year. They aren't going to the games this year... and yet you get Cub fans, a team that is about two losses from being out of the playoffs and they still pack the stands. I root for my team when they are great and when they suck. It's a new year, new expectations. Last year means nothing and has no effect on my thinking about this year.

Go Panthers!

Posts with this much indepth insight shouldn't be buried away where no one can see them. They must be made into a whole new thread.

Hey man, if Panthers football doesn't do it for you, maybe there's some nice American Idol or Project Runway reruns on Sunday afternoons. You can bake some cookies and watch those. The rest of us will be suiting up for some gridiron and cheering for our team - win or lose, good or bad. To paraphrase that great American Patrick Henry, "My Panthers - in their contests with other teams, may they always be the winners....but my Panthers, win or lose."

    • It shows how short the actual span of a NFL career actually is.  We get caught up with the few guys that play until 40-years old, but that's an extraordinary tiny fraction of the League.  What you may or may not have intentionally done there is show how we quickly move off guys like that but are stubbornly hanging onto Bryce.  His new running mate, Kenny Pickett, drafted just one year earlier is already on his 4th or 5th team.  Kenny isn't horrible, but he's not good enough to be a franchise QB.  Some franchises get it, chalk it up as a miss and move on.  Others double down on trying to make things work until the relationship completely deteriorates. *cough* Dolphins and Cardinals *cough*
    • Winner of 7 vs 8 seed game gets 7th seed. Loser of that game plays against winner of 9 vs 10 seed game. Winner of that game (loser of 7 vs 8 against winner of 9 vs 10) gets 8th seed. So in reality if you make it to the 7 vs 8 game, it’s win and in for your team. Lose that game and you get another shot at getting in. If you have to play the 9 vs 10 game, lose once you are gone. Win the first game as a 9 vs 10 competitor and you still have to win again to get in.
    • DJ Chark, Hayden Hurst, and Bradley Bozeman all started for the Carolina Panthers during Bryce Young’s rookie season. All 3 have announced retirement after two years.  Scott Fitterer was that bad.   And his #1 receiver Thielen also just retired
