What You Guys Think About Jason Cherry

Lol if these guys come out in a few years and become great players for teams, remind me to remind you about it loud and clear

You mean like Tony Brown? Jovan Haye? Saw Gary Gibson making plays a couple nights ago... Man, wish we would've held onto them now...

Chery and Beavers (sounds like a porn production co.) both looked outstanding. Yeah, they were playing the bottom of the barrel in terms of competition on the NFL level, but they obviously outperformed those on the field. It was just one game, but both guys showed the ability to make people miss and looked explosive with the ball in their hands. Both also played ST in college, so they could contribute there as well. I would not mind at all if our WR Corps is Smitty, Moose, Jarrett, Chery, and Beavers.

Yeah, we would be small but those guys looked better than Carter and Robinson. Robinson has never impressed me. Mark Jones probably ran a 4.8 40 and did what Robinson did on returns... I don't know what people have seen in him. But yes, I liked what I saw from Chery.

Got to talk to him in the autograph line at s'burg last Weds (wifey wanted her Beaston jersey autographed, struck out that day, shoulda gone Fri.). He doesn't have the southern Louisiana accent like Jake. Nice fella. You can tell everything is still a bit of a blur for him. I think it has more to do with the nfl culture/atmosphere being so much different from college than the actual football. He's looked okay in practice the day I was down there.

There is a lot of competition ahead of him at his position. If he continues to do well, he does have a shot at the PS. If they ever give him a shot as a returner, I think he might surprise some people.

    • One game at a time We need to beat the (insert next team) next week We need to focus on the (insert next team) If we play our brand of Football we will be ok We are playing to win next week, then the division, then we'll see, once you get to the playoffs, everyone is 0-0 We'll be looking to put our guys in a position to win
    • If Raiden were a Cane, he'd get the double minor.
    • I agree it does seem the league is against Charlotte but the picks they've made have been questionable. They've had sure fire picks fall to them and they keep trying to build a army of forwards who cannot shoot for some reason lol. You got to make a move in offseason and or trade for scoring. I get the best aren't coming to Charlotte but theres been opportunities at solid players with experience, that would've come just to be the man here in Charlotte. They got to stop over thinking this in the draft too. Take the best scorers available! I'm hearing we need more size on the wing, a big man, great defender, etc. but nothing about scoring or a shot creator. This team has been terrible at shooting the rock especially from the perimeter and its a iso 3 ball league, no one plays defense or really runs an offense. This franchise does not do well with developing players either. I've seen too many guys take huge leaps once they were away from Charlotte which is concerning. And even more concering that they're taking developmental guys when they have no business doing so. So, All that to say take a proven scorer, high basketball IQ guy, a unpolished player will not survive here.
