the 96th meeting over the last half century (Jets lead 49-46-1). Dolphins favored by 6.5

"The Dolphins and the Jets find themselves in familiar roles...The Dolphins must win this game...The last time these rivals met, the Jets were out of the playoff race in Week 17 of the 2013 season. The Dolphins needed a win to get into the postseason, but New York's 20-7 victory ruined Miami's season."

ESPN Dolphins reporter James Walker:

"Miami hasn’t swept New York since 2009. This is a strong trend favoring New York. ... I've learned in recent years that you can never assume anything with the Dolphins in division games. ... The Dolphins have the talent to play with just about anyone. ... I've watched all 43 career starts for Tannehill, and this is as consistent as I've seen him over a long stretch. I don't expect him to become an elite quarterback who can single-handedly take over games. But Tannehill is at the point where he's becoming part of the solution, not the problem. Barring a complete meltdown in December, his improvements in Year 3 have earned him a fourth year as a starter. The Dolphins have bigger areas to address this offseason."

ESPN Jets reporter Rich Cimini:

"This could be another Monday night debacle for the Jets. The home crowd will turn on them quickly, and it could turn ugly. Correction: It will turn ugly.... Geno Smith is back in the starting role this week, giving the front office one last evaluation period before the offseason. The organization's hope is that he learned from sitting on the bench and that he can take it to the field. We'll see."

      Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.

      Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players

      This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
