Murrells Inlet/Myrtle Beach Viewing Party?

John Morgan

Recommended Posts

I'm in town for the weekend, and my fiancee's folks are kinda not the sporting type, and I was wondering if anybody in the area had some recommendations for a good gathering spot of Panthers fans.  All the research I've done points to the typical Steelers/Browns/Bills bars...surely there's somewhere Black and Blueish...right???

And before you suggest "Atlanta", believe me...I've tried that angle.  The gal seems to think the holidays are about "family".  Ridiculous, I know.  Thanks for any assistance, gang! :)

The Myrtle Beach is bonafide yankee territory. Ive been in the area many times for games. You will be lucky to get a tv in the corner that has the Panthers gsme on if the Steelers, Pats, eagles are playing at the same time. I watched from King St Grill in Murrells last weekend. It was ok with a handfull of Panthers fans. Nice tvs. Roethlesberger is one of the owners si you can guess what that means. Lincoln Park is a decent place too.

If you head over to Market Commons, Gordon and Bersch (sp) brewery has a manager who is a Carolinian and a huge Panther fan. + it's a  huge cool bar with great brew. Yes it's still infested with know-it-all yankees, but you can watch the game without having to look at freaking $hittsburg stuff all over the walls.

Myrtle is a transplant happy town and full of any NFL team's fan base north of Calabash. There is a really cool sports bar in North Myrtle Beach called Overtime on 13th Ave. that is Panther friendly......good food and multiple big screen televisions.
